Use VPN based ad blockers like Ad Away, Blokada 5 or Ad Guard. I found the first to be the most effective. However it does negatively impact browsing speed a little. In my experience sites like Twitter, DD to name a few are the most affected. Perhaps because of the excess ads inherent to them? Whitelisting them seemed to make no difference. Hosts based ad blocking which requires root suffers from no such drawback. Ad Away works flawlessly.
I think dns.adguard.com is best for rootless mobiles. And only modded apps can block ads of apps you mentioned
Use Youtube, Hotstar etc. in browsers like Kiwi, Brave, Vivaldi etc. which have ad blocking built-in. I use the first and use uBlock Origin instead of the native ad blocker. No ads in YT. I haven't used Hotstar in a long while but previously no/minimal ads in it as well.
Root your phone & use adgaurd but may not be safe also you might face issue with browsing internet

I used that last year. That time it worked just fine. Not sure of now because using Adaway on rooted phone.
You can also use this in secure DNS in chrome settings to get rid of ads in chrome

But using vpn(s) drains battery right?

Thanks, but can't take risk of rooting phone

Thanks. But app ui feels better to me compared to web page.

And using blokoda for system wide ad blocking

No. These VPNs act locally.

Revanced for android and smart tube for Android TV
If your phone is rooted, then you can just use AdAway to block ads using the hosts file but rooted phone means banking apps will always give you hell so keep a separate phone for banking apps and one for ad-free apps.

I face this issue while using Vi 4G.

If Kernel SU is available for the device it's akin to having the cake and eating it too!

But even if root is hidden, don't apps detect unlocked bootloader with it? Some check in Play Integrity Services API fails and then the banking app refuses to run.
As long as the ROM passes SafetyNet out of the box it failing after root can be fixed either by using USNF module by displax (it switches Hardware based attestation which is the sole reason for Play Integriti to Basic one ) or by hiding root from Play Store and Play Services if using Magisk Delta with Zygisk disabled. In the only device I am using Kernel SU I didn't have to do anything at all.
P.S. For very, very few apps like CIB (Egyptian bank) a separate Bootloader Spoof module is necessary.

May annoy you again if I am stuck. 😆As long as the ROM passes SafetyNet out of the box it failing after root can be fixed either by using USNF module by displax (it switches Hardware based attestation which is the sole reason for Play Integriti to Basic one ) or by hiding root from Play Store and Play Services if using Magisk Delta with Zygisk disabled. I tried Magisk Delta with Zygisk disabled, didn't work. Many banking apps were detecting either unlocked bootloader OR root OR both.

All this info and much more is available on the XDA thread of MD.
P.S. For some apps like Kotak if using MD occasionally it becomes necessary to freeze the Magisk Manager. Again no such issue with KSU.
List of unofficially supported devices: https://kernelsu.org/guide/unofficially-support...
Currently kernel version 4.9 is the oldest to which KSU support has been backported so far.
The best way:
Use Private DNS and then use NextDNS.io and configure itaccordingto your needs. Have been using this method, and it is able to block out large numberof ads. Next, use Firefox+ Ublock Origin for apps like FB/IG/YT.
