My docomo sim is converted to airtel but i am not getting 4g network so i have to upgrade sim. so do i need to submit govt id card copy at airtel store ?? I want to upgrade my old vodafone sim also. It doesnt show 4g network

Idea upgrades for free with 4gb additional data ….
No proof required for Idea and vodafone sim upgrade.. dont know about docomo to airtel.. !

There Is No Docomo 4G
And If You Want To Use 4G Then You Have To Switch To Airtel (Port) Then You’ll Get Airtel 4G .
Also To Be Noted Here Us, If You Have Any Balance In Docomo That Goes Away Once Ported.
And Truly Speaking If You Docomo Issue To Airtel They Will Treat You Like Beggars A d They Will Keep On Repeating PORT PORT PORT TO AIRTEL For Problem/Question You ask.
For Vodafone, you Can Easily Go-to store And Update it.

Docomo will be automatically converted to Airtel without porting in recent upgrade.. so we need to buy 4g sim card alone from airtel to get 4g network and data.
justt take a airtel 4g swap sim from mobile shop and do it
bcoz now u r on airtel network so u just need a 4g sim to get 4g signal ..
sim price is just 10rs , but accordingly they can giv u in 20 rs or more also 
to swap just sms-

They normally do it for free in stores.
Can’t understand what’s the issue here. OP should visit the store once IMO, and afaicr they never ask for any documents for sim upgrade. Done with Voda, Airtel, Idea.
PS: Never give them any money as it’s a free service. Chortel asked me Rs. 25 to which they got their share of reply.
I upgraded my telenor to airtel by simple sim swap @ airtel store for free.
All done in less than 10minutes
@ssshubham visit any Airtel store, ask for sim upgrade(it is sms process), no need to submit any document. If you are getting signal on current sim.
We have been pushed from Indicom to Docomo and now to airtel.
Only reason for using Indicom or Docomo is strength of signal we get in my house.

Docomo officially became Airtel on July 1st as merger completed. Now 100% customers are migrated to Airtel network. In simple words your Docomo SIM is fully functional on Airtel now either it be plans or USSD or anything else. Those who want 4G sim just get a Airtel migration sim and SMS SIM <19/20 Digits SIM number> to 121.
Till July 24th, Docomo recharge site was up and now it redirects to Airtel.
no documents needed , just need that sim card / number which you want to convert , so for docomo if you need 4G then only do conversion otherwise not necessary – as Airtel Store is worst they charge you Rs. 100 instead of Rs.25 as i already done with all inconveniences !
For Vodafone upgrade is free but store also charge you money up to 50 /- as i have already done this – all Network stores are looters of money – for free service they are charging money !
I recommend you to do port out to other networks like Jio or Bsnl !
Maybe stores at your place are money grabbers kind of people. Here in stores either be of any company migration sims have separate stack in showroom. You can go and collect yourself. They don’t care if you take 2 or 5 with you as in case of multiple numbers or family numbers needs to be migrated. The only thing they confirm is whether you know the process. 
Normal retailers have kept them in front. They never ask for charges. If they are chraging at your place then call CC @ 198 in front of them. The moment you dial they will beg you not to. 
I upgraded my 2 docomo sim to airtel yesterday. It took around 2-3 hrs for new 4g sim to activate. Airtel took Rs25 for each sim. Store person said its airtel franchise shop and not airtel store so they charge Rs25 for sim swap service from me. Upgrade your old docomo 3g sim and enjoy 4g speed. All balance of docomo is carried forward and my 3g data balance of docomo is converted into 4g data of airtel 😂

All Docomo Sims have been already converted as Airtel long back.. does your sim still shows network signal as docomo ?
