How to use Paytm app in mobile without SIM card

I was using Paytm app in a mobile without SIM card for the last two years.
This month I made a mistake of updating the app. Now the app is asking to login again but saying that SIM card is not present.
Tried to download older versions of Paytm app available on web from December 2020 to July 2020. None of them is getting installed in the mobile. Only app versions January 2021 onwards are getting installed, which are asking for SIM card for login.
Can anyone suggest link of old Paytm app still working without SIM card?

Paytm app login procedure is garbage. Didn’t allow to manually enter OTP last time I checked.

Not just the sim card, also it will ask you permission to access your call records and contacts before it can send you the OTP.
People are becoming more aware and concerned about such privacy permissions, this company is digging its own grave with such stupidity.

After downloading this login via password ( if u have 2 account login both accounts via dual or clone)
After successfully login both accounts go to play store and update paytm
And now u can use two paytm account in one phone

Login with mobile number and password allowed without sim card. But app keeps closing after few seconds. After updating from playstore it logs out and asks for sim card

Old app thik se kam nehi karega isiliye update karne ko bola
Old app pe successfully login hone ke baad hi update karne ko bola

Tried your way but after updating app still asked to relogin 
Plus I am having a weird problem where the SMS are coming but paytm app fails to read them
