I am using thoptv with my jio hotspot on a 4k tv. Usually watching HD channels. Crisp clear and jio gives 1-2mbps downloading speed only here.

For streaming, you only require a certain amount of speed. For Netflix HD streaming, Netflix says it will take 5.0 Mbps (Megabits per second). Other services—from YouTube to HBO Go—should require a similar amount of bandwidth for their HD, 1080p streams. If you’re using Netflix’s 4K UHD stream, that requires 25 Mbps. Music streams require much less bandwidth than video streams.

Watch the calendula series in series tab, which all are 4K content documentries. But require very high speed internet as well as 4K supported device( android box or firestick)

You meant MBps?

8 mbps = 1 MBps. So you are getting between 8-16mbps.

Yes i am talking about downloading speed which is always lower than browsing.
For HD channels this much is required atleast for without buffering.
Though thoptv has video bitrate option where it can change the quality automatically according to the connection or you can also manually change that. A 720p also doesn’t look that bad on 4K tv,

1) One need to have good Fiber broadband for uninterrupted streaming
2) For Firestick- Hotstar ( This provides many channels free of cost (AajTak HD, ABP news most of the channels free. One can avail annual premium channels too, otherwise all serials are saved free of cost- watch any time)
3) Sony Liv- For All Sony channels and shows
4) Zee5- For Zee All channels and shows you can watch anytime
5) Voot- For Color Viacom channels
6) You can side load JioTV this will make all live channels available (this is this bit clumsy as JioTV is not officially available on Firetv but works)
7) Amazon Prime videos of you have a Amazon Prime Account.
8) Netflix
9) NextGTv on firestick for many free channels
10) YuppTV

I only use JioTV which is sideloaded on my android tv box..

There is a jasmine tv, which is the code word for jio tv there you will have two options watch live or catchup after clicking on the required channel. Then choose the date and time from scroll down menu and watch.

4K is only available in calendula series for documentries. Though in Tulip tv 2k is available for some channels. You can watch that, awesome quality.

I would share my experience when I had BSNL ADSL line, though they said they offer 8 MBPS but I hardly used to get 5 MBPS because ADSL line runs on copper and will have losses for sure. Also it depends on you distance from their exchange if it’s more then 2 KMS you won’t get actual speed.

On the other hand Fiber connection of any service provider will have 100% throughput which means if they commit 50 MBPS you will get above that. This would depend what wifi router modem you have. Preferably 5 GHZ wifi router band provides ultimate streaming capabilities without buffering compared to 2.4 Ghz.

I would say search for Fiber connection near by of any service provider so you can get actual speeds and feel the difference.

I used to watch 720p videos without any buffering whatsoever when i had bsnl 1.8 mbps. So you can guess what you can do with 8 mbps.
