If you have single name…(legal) Only first name.
You can use Firstname Firstname as your full name.
Like: Rohit Rohit in case any app/website/service demands lastname as a mandatory field.

Applied credit card against fd in axis bank.. concerned person said it will be issued..

Not an expert on that matter. But reading a lot of articles regarding the same.
Its better to have atleast 2 names (first and last) and consistent across 10th, 12th, aadhar and pan
May sure to this correctly for your child
Also, if child did not like the name given by you we can change the name before 9th. Changing the name after 9th class is very difficult.
I thought name can be changed anytime by following some process which requires giving an ad in the newspaper! As lot of people/celebrities/artists, change their spellings or names later on in their career.

You can use your father last name as your last name
Axis bank has changed their policy from may onwards. Now you can apply without a surname. I also don't have a surname. I have even complained regarding this through Ombudsman portal in march.
can you elaborate with guidelines or provide source.
ps :- we were able to apply without sirname earlier also but later they rejected citing that they cannot compelete our kyc due to single name
I have single name using ICICI axis yes bank credit card
First of all, I am an axis cc customer since 2017. During that time KYC was done manually. So i didnt have any issue by having a single name. But since the kyc is being done virtually nowadays, axis bank were not taking customers who were not having a surname.
In December, my Metro card application (Partner bank- axis) was rejected saying I am not having a surname and vkyc cant be done. Later in March, I applied for axis flipkart cc which was again rejected with the same reason. The agent even refused to come to my house for vkyc although i was an existing customer.
So in april i raised a complaint for the same. Some days later, the agent who refused to come to my house said they have resolved this single name issue and they are now issuing cc to everyone. 2 days later i got a call from axis bank saying my metro card is also full kyc now wihtout me submitting any documents.
But in march i had already upgraded to flipkart cc through app. So i havent applied the same card againg by doing vkyc. But, when i checked the cc application website of axis, i can see that they have even removed surname tab while applying.
Exact reply of the agent :

- This year onwards this problem have been resolved
Update Full Name in Aadhar first.
