ICICI Credit Card Application Review

I’ve been trying to get a ICICI card since they made Amazon Pay a trash card.

20 days ago I applied for Platinum card and for that whenever they called me the phone got disconnected within a second. I asked for recalls via twitter, nothing happened.

yesterday ended up reapplying again with HPCL coral card (which portal showed as NIL annual and joining fees). Applied and filled the form. Today I get a call saying you’ve applied for coral your charges are 500+gst. I told them I applied for coral hpcl they say then it’s 199+GST, I mention that the portal said NIL and Nil as the fees, they don’t agree and basically tell me the application has been reset and they want my details yet again. My age, my company, a couple more questions and finally they asked my salary and it kinda felt like spammy to me and at that point I got so frustrated I hung up. Personally I don’t it find it safe one bit where I have to share details on phone again and again. You are one mistake away of telling something which you shouldn’t. And there’s no real way of knowing if it’s really icici or a fraudster.

With so many companies now coming up, with such quick and amazing CC processes, I think even BOB is better than these ICICI lot. Idfc, Rbl all of these are miles ahead of the archaic ICICI card application.
