Bye Payback : ICICI New Rewards Program from April 2022

The only hope from ICICI is that they keep the new reward program as bad as the existing Payback program and not something worse which is a high probability.

What about existing points should we claim that or leave it???

zero hopes from ICICI.

Until now I maintained a separate payback account for icici alone to get away from frequent redemption charges. Now time has come to merge two accounts I have and take advantage of combined rewards.

On a similar note, payback points can be redeemed on HP pay app which can be used for fuel payments at HPCL outlets. Not all outlets accept the payment via HP Pay, but most in metros accept.

Why to forgo? One can redeem those points through various ways.

Currently they are charging 25+gst for online and 100+gst for offline(I think) for icici linked payback account points redemption. I hope they won’t charge if we redeem after Mar 31st as the link between payback and icici gets broken after Mar 31st.

Payback has been purchased by BharatPe so this was surely going to happen.

i think better to call cc and claim all points against statement  because redemption charges is also less

The problem with payback redemption was huge service charge. I stopped using ICICI card due to that . Hope new reward doesn’t do that
