New banks gives attractive interest rate initially then once they gather the customers they will give normal interest rate.

This is what i have done
just move all money to post office and make IDFC acct balance nil. Slowly they will close the account automatically as negative balance is not allowed by RBI – https://www.livemint.com/money/personal-f...ce.
Dont waste any time in going to branch etc, But i am keeping my LTF IDFC select credit card
Do confirm when you are able to confirm about it. @Dealhunting I talked to them and they said you need to request via branch.
