All IDFC cards gives on incremental amount meaning for 30k wallet load they will give 6x/1.5% on 20k & 10x/2.5% on 10k(amount over & above 20k).

Understood also is it on cumulative spends or every transaction should be above 20k to get incremental 10x rewards?

Cumulative spend, once the total crosses 20k then every transaction afterwards earns 10x irrespective of transaction amount.

@RunZone Its an excellent card. I have never faced any issues in rewards tracking. It will be provided during the bill generation. U can redeem for statement credit with no fees. Its an excellent card combined with so many offers of BoB. But getting it is a headache. Nobody cares!! you have to run behind them even after having all docs. It took more than 3 months for me and a lot of follow ups.

That’s a given, all psu banks are like this only. SBI credit cards are the only exception because sbi card is technically a pvt company different from sbi bank. Also BoB select card has monthly capping of 1000 points for 5x program on e-comm/dining/utility bills so not of much use. Its main advantage is 1000 bonus points on 5 transactions of 1000 in a month but you can get the same benefit by buying a single 5k amazon GV in a month using any hdfc debit/credit card.

Yeah, HDFC smartbuy is good, but for normal day to day discounts on BOB, this card is really good I feel.

They have vkyc also. I got it through vkyc. But they kept on asking the same set of documents again and again. There is no tracking of what is happening behind the screen.

That’s fine but HDFC points redemption is a hassle, redemption fees, very low points value if you don’t book hotels or flights. Only smartbuy is direct cashback.

There is no comparison between Hdfc and bob here. HDFC CC is a must and almost best. But no harm in BOB select. It gives decent rewards for day today spends.

No idea about other hdfc cards, I have been using money back card, points redemption is easy and there will not be any other charges. On top of this, they give Milestone offer ( We get rs.500 voucher if we spend rs.50000 in 3 months) even wallet load is also considered as part of this spend

Edit:

Agree with you point value is low

As I said no questions on the offers and quality of hdfc. If it was not the case I would not have used HDFC CC since 2010. It was my first CC back then.

I meant that 5% smartbuy you will get with any hdfc card with credit card points being extra so you will always earn higher than BoB select in most scenarios. Yes if you do get select then it is a decent card but I don’t think everyone will be willing to spend 5k every month on this card just to get annual fee waiver(12*5=60k & you need 70k for annual fee waiver) if also having other good cards but if you can afford to do it then good.

Till 20k, you will get 6 points per 100 INR spend and since 4 points = 1 INR i.e. 1.5% per 100 INR. After 20k, you will get 10 points per 100 INR spend.

For 30k you will get (20000*.015)+(10000*.025)=550 worth of cashback.
