Starting 1st May 2023 Airport Free Lounge access available only if you spend Rs 5000 in previous month

With more and more banks, credit cards and rupay network offering free airport lounge access without any MAB criteria to grab market share, the limited space and overcrowding has transformed all lounges into a free langar event with long queues where waiting time is atleast half an hour.
Fuel spend is a viable option in this case.
Wealth card anyways comes with Dreamfolks card already, moreover spending 5k/month for wealth cc holder is easy

Hope other banks will also follow but minimum spend should be Rs50,000.
Is this restriction only for domestic lounge visits ? or includes international visits, and domestic spa's as well ?
If confirmed, I will be closing 7 out of 9 family and friends accounts.
If they set the same criteria for roadside assistance, then all 9 accounts will be closed.
Will it be made a rule for idfc select also?
Hope they revise and keep tnc for international lounges only.

Is it for credit or debit card ?
That's spending 5k to get access to any lounge, world-wide, which costs less than 2.5k per entry, per person. Only beneficial now if you intended using the lounges for more than twice a year.
Indian lounges feel more like free langar though.
