So with future Apple phones likely to do away with all physical buttons, ports and have tactile feedback instead (even for the power button)
how are people planning use/ charge such devices on long road trips?
With Android devices too eventually moving to Qi2 Wireless charging, what options are economical and viable for charging on the move, in car?
Another decade or so by which time, this too shall be surpassed with a slightly different standsrd.

Chinese OEMs are likely to retain the USB port for charging for many years to come. Otherwise how can they boast about megawatt charging speeds? Although they do tend to blindly ape Apple so who knows? Anyway still some ways off so I am not bothered for now especially with anything ultra-greedy Apple might or might not do.
