Which credit card provides highest value back in terms of Rupee value?
There is a need to spend large sum for this year and coming year for higher education. There are many cards that provide rewards. But Rupee value of the reward points vary depending on the provider.
I am initiating this thread to search for the best value back card and not best rewards or best cashback cards.
(Pls refer the deal wiki section for more details.)
Can you plz suggest more cards with better value back?

Amex rewards, when collected beyond 24000 pts, gives ₹9000 statement credit. Spend ₹1500x4/month to earn 1000 points/month. This turns out to be ₹12.50/₹100 spent. Additional 1000 points/₹20000 spent. Those points are at ₹1.87/₹100 spent. But if you are spending beyond that ₹1500x4/month but less than ₹20000 the point value is ₹0.75/₹100 spent.

So do you mean -
for HDFC Infinia the cashback is 1.6% ? Then what we need to spend each one point or to earn 1.6% ?
SBI Simply Click – What I know is 0.25/point. Do you mean it is 1.25/point if Rs.100 is spent online ?
Axis ace looks most promising if 5% flat cashback is there. However, I think no payment gateway allows you to pay using credit card through gpay. It can work only on offline transactions.
Flipkart Axis card provides:
5 perc CB on Flipkart
4 perc on Uber/Swiggy
1.5 perc on oall others except fuel, cash, EMI, gold etc
No limit on any of above, also no cost EMI on Flipkart always
500+gst joining fees
500+gst annual fees
They do provide FK voucher for new card during offers
I used this info to update the main content. Thanks.
Looks like 1.5% seems to be among the top value cards.
I used this info to update the main content. Thanks.
Looks like 1.5% seems to be among the top value cards.
Can you plz elaborate ?
For example, you mentioned BOB Eterna. Is it mandatory to have 42k spend/month to get 3.75% value back ?
I am using axis fk and ace card. Happy with cashback as well as service.
Can we keep both?
And after how much time u applied for ace?
1year.
We can keep both
I’m using Axis Ace as primary credit card and IndusInd pinnacle as secondary.
Sbi simplyclick is good.
Axis Flipkart is waste, Flipkart account blocking issue for high purchase
Bro that blocking thing can be possible for Ace card also
Don’t u think if we pay high amount bills(there is another discussion going on about this), Axis will block card?
Need bob credit card to purchase… Can anyone help here
amount?
BOB Eterna’s website shows that you get 15 points/₹100 spent only on dining, travel and international transactions. For all other categories you get 3 points/₹100 spent. Value is ₹0.25/point. Effectively the value back is ₹3.75/₹100 spent on dining, travel and international transactions. And 75ps/₹100 spent on other categories.
15 points/100 is on all the online spends. Atleast this was the condition at the start of this month as I got 5000 points in my account for transaction done on April 3rd.
What all cards you own or have access/eligible to, then we can suggest
This thread is not about one person but will help all of us.
Lets get the best information and keep it updated.
I heard that there also a “Dhani” way to get more cashback when you know your spend is going to be large.
Does anyone have Kotak Essentia Platinum credit card ? The site says it provides 10% cashback on grocery. But it is not clear if it is online/offline which site or store.
Lots of TnCs .
Min Amount: 1500
Max Amount: 400
Max Cashback per month: 500.
Kotak Essentia doesn’t seem to be a promising card. Will not add it to the first post.
bro add Axis Ace as well
5% cb on GooglePay(Bills), 4% on Ola/Swiggy, 2% on all others except fuel, cash, EMI, gold etc
There are some more TnC I not aware of
Guys,Does hdfc regalia card counts paytm cash load as spends? (Doubt from my friend)
Yes
Just had a chat with @admin , @mj911
I learned :
1. This thread cannot have access to deal wiki as I dont have required levels of Karma. So I cannot update the main post.
2. Hotness is removed because some people voted it down citing repost as a reason.
Since hotness is removed the thread will go deep down in the list. Once buried it will not attract the attention of Dimers. Dimers will neither be able to make use of the information nor will be able to contribute.
Admin, Please take this thread down. Please delete it. I will recreate the thread.
No need to delete and make new thread it is all good and like i said i will update ur main post whenever u want so just let me knw when to do.
and regarding hotness it seems to be a tiny glitch which showed as zero. It is back to its usual hotness
Make a reply in the thread and same will be added as updates to ur main posts and even will add that link in the deal wiki for u. Hope that will work for u ?
@MJ911 Plz add the below in the main post -
Indus Pinnacle : E-com – ₹2.5 / ₹100 spent, E-com travel and airline – ₹1.5 / ₹100 spent, Everything else – ₹1 / ₹100 spent
Axis Ace : 5% cb on GooglePay(Bills), 4% on Ola/Swiggy, 2% on everything else except fuel, cash, EMI, gold
@raman12 , @guest_999 , @Ramta_Jogi
I heard that there is a card in HDFC that gives better value than every other card. Unable to find it. Plz contribute if you can get the info.
HDFC infinia
Your main post has lots of error and misinformation or even already outdated information. To begin with, what is the source of Indus platinum point value (wrong), or even MRCC 1k/4 times a month (outdated), regalia (error)?
All cards are not the same. All of this start from the basic question – what is your requirement// where would you spend using the card & where would you redeem your points?
There are Airline cards that you missed, car rental cards, site-specific cards. Few cards are known to give you 7.5% – 10% or even 15% worth in terms of value though they wont’s suit all.
Plz. point me to the exact error and I will try to resolve it provided you give any authentic info.
Indus Platina, the information is correct. I verified it before putting on the main thread.
Amex – I personally own MRCC and it is the information that is from my own statement.
Regalia – I recently cancelled, some 3 months ago. If things have changed please let me know.
This thread is not only for my personal gain. This is here to help all the dimers. Let people find a card for their requirement. Of course, I am not listing cards for value in terms of free lounge access, free golf sessions, free movie tickets etc. (though I have those cards). Here we are discussing only about the reward points or cashback in terms for hard Rupee value.
Request you to please continue to suggest what you feel the best.
Thank you @Ramta_Jogi for taking active interest in correcting the information.
However, there is some misunderstanding. I mentioned about Indus Pinnacle and not platina. The information in the main post is for pinnacle only and very much correct. Somehow you read platina and I also replied to you on platina considering you were referring to the right card.
I checked and Amex did change its benefit condition from 1-Apr. You are right on that count. However, they changed the terms only starting current month. Maybe not getting updated on every card’s terms for about 25 days is a crime on DD. Please continue to pull me for that.
I will still wait for the new statement to generate before updating the main thread.
I agree, one size doesn’t fit all. That is the reason we are listing cards with their value back in one line so that it becomes easy for the diners to choose their size and flavor of the card.
Plz provide the info on the 3 SBI cards that you were mentioning in your last post. Also let us know about Regalia’s new point value.
Thank you once again.
Not updating oneself is different from posting false/outdated information.
Which card gives max reward points on wallet load except amazon pay icici CC?
Ola Money SBI : Cashback of 7% on Ola rides. Booking via Cleartrip : 5% on flights, 10% on hotel, 6% on international hotels, 12% on activities. 1% on everything else
@MJ911 Plz add the above line to the main post.
Done
IDFC First Millenia/Classic/Select/Wealth : if total spend is greater than ₹20000/billing cycle : ₹2.5/₹100 spent, if spend is less than ₹20000 : ₹1.5/₹100 spent online, ₹0.75/₹100 spent offline. No points/cb on fuel, EMI, Insurance, Cash Withdrawal. LTF.
What about wallet add to paytm/payzapp?
Does that give points
There are a couple of changes in the points collection on Amex MRCC. Will post it soon after confirming with CC.
As of now Amex MRCC is the most rewarding value back card till certain spend per month.
Amex details are updated in the main thread
Standard Chartered Ultimate :
Flat 3.3% cashback. No limit, no categories, no exclusions. – That means even buying fuel, paying insurance premium or buying gold can also get you the cashback.
₹5000 joining fee, ₹6000 cashback on paying the joining fee.
₹5000 renewal fee, ₹5000 cashback on paying renewal fee.
What are redumption options?
Any redumption charges?
Guys, I need to reach out to admin for any update to the main post. This is because I have less score on Karma. In case the information on the thread is helping you, plz consider enabling me to update the main thread on my own.
You can’t, it is something only admins/mods can do. At best you can edit/create deal wiki but that requires at least Deal captain level(requires min 7000 karma points).
Good sales pitch help me help u
Hdfc infinia point value is ₹1 / point only when redeemed for hotels or flights.. otherwise it’s 50 paise(effective cashback becomes 1.6% instead of 3.3% 5 points per 150)
Sbi simply click provides 5x reward points on online transactions (1.25% 5x rewards for online transactions)
Axis ace provides 5% cashback on gpay transactions and 2% cashback on all other transactions.
Hope this helps.
