Which credit card provides highest value back in terms of Rupee value?
There is a need to spend large sum for this year and coming year for higher education. There are many cards that provide rewards. But Rupee value of the reward points vary depending on the provider.
I am initiating this thread to search for the best value back card and not best rewards or best cashback cards.
(Pls refer the deal wiki section for more details.)
Can you plz suggest more cards with better value back?

The information on the site is different than what you mentioned. Maybe they have updated the terms and not updated the site. Can you please check with CC?
What all cards you own or have access/eligible to, then we can suggest

This thread is not about one person but will help all of us.
Lets get the best information and keep it updated.
I heard that there also a “Dhani” way to get more cashback when you know your spend is going to be large.
Does anyone have Kotak Essentia Platinum credit card ? The site says it provides 10% cashback on grocery. But it is not clear if it is online/offline which site or store.

Only those sites or stores which have registered themselves with their payment gateway provider as “Departmental or Grocery store” as reflected in their MCC code. See this thread of mine(applies to all similar cards):

Kotak Essentia doesn’t seem to be a promising card. Will not add it to the first post.

Thanks for the info.
However, suddenly the Edit link remains disabled on the first post. Not sure why I cant edit now. Else, I would like to add Axis Ace too.

How to to use Deal wiki option ? Is there any thread to know about it ?
Also, I observed that initially there was some hotness rating to this thread. Despite more and more people following this thread it became 0 degree hot. Is there anything in this regard that is not known to me ?

Indusind Pinnacle 2.5% cashback as statement credit.
Standard Chartered Ultimate 3.3% on all spends including on wallet reloads (along with MRCC, makes it one of the few cards which give points on wallet reloads). Though very limited redemption options.
Infinia – Highly rewarding card- Best in India since 2013. Only useful if you can redeem points on air travel or hotel stays or international tours/experiences and DTH recharge.
Just had a chat with @admin , @mj911
I learned :
1. This thread cannot have access to deal wiki as I dont have required levels of Karma. So I cannot update the main post.
2. Hotness is removed because some people voted it down citing repost as a reason.
Since hotness is removed the thread will go deep down in the list. Once buried it will not attract the attention of Dimers. Dimers will neither be able to make use of the information nor will be able to contribute.
Admin, Please take this thread down. Please delete it. I will recreate the thread.

The website says something different -
For E-commerce transactions – ₹2.5/₹ 100 spent
E-com travel and airline transactions – ₹1.5/₹ 100 spent
Everything else – ₹1/₹ 100 spent
This comes between Amazon ICICI and Flipkart Axis
Their is no one size fit all solution here. credit card usage and rewards are dependent upon your spend profile and preferences. for eg – if you a frequent flier, you might use a card that has good reward rate on air miles conversion, like Infinia or sbi air India etc.
I prefer to use cards based on their reward milestones and category. for eg –
1. BOB Eterna – monthly usage of ~42k on rental payments (reward rate of ~3.75%)
2. HDFC Diner – monthly usage of 80k on rental/others (reward rate of 3.3% + INR 1000 vouchers)
3. HDFC Infinia – regular household expenses (reward rate of 3.3%)
4. SBI Ola – monthly usage of ~7200 to convert to amazon vouchers (reward rate of 15%) – not using since last month because of ola postpaid issues
5. Amex MRCC+Gold charge – 12k monthly on paytm load (reward rate of 6.8% when redeemed for 24k collection)
6. Axis Ace – for bill payments (reward rate of 5%)
7. SBI Elite – Movie tickets & Groceries (2 tickets free per month, 5x on groceries)
8. SBI Air India/Infinia/Amex Plat Travel – all big purchases
