NEW DELHI, 06 December 2022 – India’s economy has demonstrated resilience despite a challenging external environment, says the World Bank in its latest India Development Update, a World Bank flagship publication. The report titled “Navigating the Storm”, finds that while the deteriorating external environment will weigh on India’s growth prospects, the economy is relatively well positioned to weather global spillovers compared to most other emerging markets.

Impact of a tightening global monetary policy cycle, slowing global growth and elevated commodity prices will mean that the Indian economy will experience lower growth in 2022-23 financial year compared to 2021-22. Despite these challenges, the update expects India to register a strong GDP growth and remain one of the fasted growing major economies in the world, due to robust domestic demand.

The World Bank has revised its 2022-23 GDP forecast upward to 6.9 percent from 6.5 percent (in October 2022), considering a strong outturn in India in the second quarter (July-September) of the 2022-23 financial year.

🙂🙂🙂

Nice naa. They were loomy n gloomy. Suddenly the outlook has been shinning. Citizens of India should have a Lil bit faith in their country. Negative thoughts ll hamper personal wellbeing. And this is the reason for which Indian stock market has been showing resistance. When ground has already been consolidated how can prices fall. As always studies n reports are dynamic in nature and improvements ll take some time to get reflected in them. 🙂

What I feel is that some people of india who have  great reach actually are just dumbo. How I'm saying? See they follow the articles of western media which quite often narrates the detrimental thoughts for Indians. And the young generation mostly gen z, gen alpha of India attach to those people. What the thesis is, what the fact is, they never tries to understand. That's why fake narrative builds of this, (that) India is country of snake charmer and bullocks, they can't progress especially in economic field.
However, due to tech enhancement and internet mobility, the 22y-35y people are getting fact that India is exploring her potential swiftly and to enjoy that opportunities, some research and skill needed. My brother said once that when we're becoming wealthier, we never feel that. But when you're seeing someone achieving good, suddenly you criticize them by taking the notes of ethics, by forcing them to remember the bad chapters of their, theirs' debts on you. Recently, a quote I listened to, when a rocket projects towards infinite sky, it has to give away the load (the past here). Also, static friction is always more than the limiting friction. So, pushing hard doesn't mean load was tough. It means inertia was much more (the bad start in economic reforms in India).
Much more thoughts but typing is boredom.
Btw agreed with your thoughts @bikidas2060

Quite tricky are the stats. The result is what one sees. But the focus should be on how we arrived at.

Any ratings/rankings have more to do with India's economic/foreign ties with west. What we can see ourselves is we are still developing country. I am sorry this was the fact, this is the fact and future I cannot predict.

So many, but yeah I will stop here.
