I got an email from IndusInd Bank saying they have assigned a recovery agent for an over-limit amount of ₹500. It has the details of the third-party agent.
The catch? This overdue isn’t even from my spending—it’s from some utility payment charges they introduced this month. The due date for the payment is 1st January, and I’ve just paid ₹2,000 to reduce my limit.
The actual limit of the card is very low from the beginning, my fault is that I spent 96-97% of it, and when they billed the utility charge, it became 101%
They could have simply sent an sms or email mentioning that I've gone over the limit and I should clear ASAP. Isn’t this too much for such a small amount?
I am worried about Cibil though, not about the consumption percentage but do the bank reports over-limit as overdue in the cibil? because both are different things, and I have never made a overdue or even late payment. Should I clear 100% of the bill now to be on the safer side? but the due date is 1st Jan. Have paid the minimum amount due, statement was made today. Now the available limit of credit card is no more in negetive balance.

Bro just pay the amount and if anyone calls just tell them you have already made the payment. Also drop a mail regarding reversal of charges which would have been added due to overlimit of card.
100% payment karu kya abhi? or 2K is sufficient? Cause due date is on 1st January. The transaction for which they charged utility fees was made last week only, the statement was generated today with an over limit of 500rs which triggered all these.

Another reason why this happened is my card doesn't show up in their App due to their IT issue, they didn't solve it even after multiple follow-ups, so I check transactions only when the statement comes so wasn't aware of the utility charge being posted. And the irony is, they sent the statement due via sms in the morning, but haven't sent the statement email yet.

Similar thing happened with me for ICICI Bank. I was compelled to pay penal charges for crossing credit limit. They did not reverse.
But ICICI is a proper bank unlike Indusind who doesn’t have an IT team. What’s the use of over limit fee if they still wanna harass. I am sure the recovery agent must have gotten info of my full due amount instead of the over-limit amount due to their messed up banking system.
close this card and apply again after few months. you will get higher limit

I got the same msg for 300. They have charged a fee for utilities. Pay it immediately else they are serious.
I got a call again in the morning and told her I had cleared the over-limit yesterday. She noted the details(payment mode, time & amount) and said okay. I asked "Hope I won't get any more calls", and she said "No". Let's see.
