IndusInd credit cards - worth paying?

Neglecting cards issued LTF, IndusInd usually sells cards at high joining fees and nil annual fees. This essentially means that these cards are sold on a one-time purchase model, rather than the subscription model of cards with annual fees. This being the case, for these paying customers, what is the guarantee that the card benefits won’t be reduced in future? What if the RP’s are devalued, or other benefits removed? Does the bank provide any guarantee that the benefits stated at the time of joining will last at least for a minimum specified period?

Entry level card of indusind is offered as LTF and no joining fee if you are holding an account with them.

I know, but those cards are pretty much useless. I’m referring to cards like iconia amex and pinnacle which are not always LTF.

Actually you only pay one time gst fee, there is usually an offer under which you get same amount of GVs as welcome gift as joining fee.

You either get it card on card with existing card limit at least 1 or 2 lakh or open a similar amount FD in indusind branch for getting the card after talking with branch manager. 3rd & most unreliable option is via paisabazaar/bankbazaar but even that needs some good existing limit card.

Simplyclick also gives 2.5% on any amazon bill payment. Most used wallet is paytm for which there is now charge for adding money via credit card so doesn’t matter.

I used simplyclick last months and got only 5x reward points. Simplyclick is very good card but sometimes posted 5x only points.

You have to wait, many times for bill payment transactions simplyclick gives 5x points as usual within 2-3 days while remaining 5x points are given after 1-2 months. You can contact their customer care & they will tell you something similar(that remaining points will be given after a month or so as per a friend’s experience last year).

But in SBI, we can redeem points to Amazon gv. And in indusind pinnacle, we can convert to cash statement like axis Flipkart.

Cash is better then gv.

Practically no difference(cash vs amazon gv) unless redemption value is regularly crossing 10k multiple times in a year.

Yes it is a feature but not good enough to consider this card only for this feature. Most importantly have you seen the latest T&C of indusind cards, buried deep within are a few lines which basically means that indusind is not responsible for fraud transactions done on a closed/cancelled/expired/destroyed card(as per you).

Pinnacle have card protection upto credit limit. So why to worry….. And how fraud can happen with closed card 😅🤣

Say you found/suspect your card details leaked in mobikwik/dominox/xyz leak & call indusind to block/cancel the card then as per other banks policy the moment you made the call there is no responsibility towards you for any fraud transaction but in case of indusind it is not the same. Until the system closes the card(it takes time depending on bank/timing/workload & not like credit card gets closed in the system within few minutes of making the call) if any fraud transaction takes place then you are responsible even after making the call. Same thing with expired card, say a fraudster setup a recurring transaction & your card is expired(as per the date on card front side) then system automatically renews the card in system(customer gets physical card after some days only) & the fraud transaction is your responsibility again.
