INTEL vs AMD vs SNAPDRAGON

10 years back, there was a clear winner ie Intel. Almost no regular consumer thought about any other processor for their laptops/PC, imo.

But game has changed now. And frankly I don't really know much about it. So I would like to hear opinions of our expert dimers on this matter.

Which one would you choose, at which price points and for what usecases.

look dude currently if you want battery focused system go for either snapdragon or m series macbooks.
there are no valid logic to buy old intel bcoz of slower performance than new-ish amd systems and current corrupted intel based machine will die but you don't know when and why. so only option is good right now is amd. I am using it since last 10 years. no major issues. latest amd cpus are far better and more battery focused x86-x64 architecture.

If money is not a problem for you and battery life is priority then go for m2 macs, those will any job easily. hope this helps you out.

It's so bad for the consumer that there is no good choice other than macs. I have checked out newest offerings from dell like XPS 13 with snapdragon processors which I think have mixed reviews and other companies offering intel processors, but no real choice...

Btw can new macs run windows?

apple m4 is basically 3% improvement over m3 and i will still not suggest people to put their money on that shit.

phone form factor: if you care about ai then always go for the trend but SD8Gen1 and Gen2 is still good socs for smooth phone which can last over 10 years with periodic battery change.

laptop: just like i am biased for amd you are for intel.

peace out

AMD is good for desktop processors simply because AMD is far ahead of intel in terms of nanometer scale. As for mobiles, SD latest 8 gen series seems to be good.
