Friends, I need your small help. I am planning 8 days trip to France, Switzerland, Germany via group tour.
My question is: should I enable vi international roaming from India only? Vi app was showing sky high rates like 3000 for 7 days!!
Or should I buy a local sim in Europe? Which is cheaper?
Mostly use will be incoming, rarely outgoing / internet (because airport, hotel will have wifi).

local sim is always cheaper but just for saifty i use this service and its expensive but very reliable bnesim get a esim with lifetime validity i like it coz they let you pay by crypto and you can have multiple esim rather then getting a country specific i take continental recharge like asia region etc you can even sell your data. If you are using a CC make sure its a 0% Forex card or else extra charges
Currently I am using local SIM everywhere I am going much cheaper than roaming chargers.
Which SIM you have ?
I always believed having international roaming enabled is better than getting local SIM.
This helps in getting incoming calls, sms which may be important.
Incoming SMS doesn't cost anything and you have choice not to take incoming calls but later call back using whatsapp using wifi.
Also countries you are visiting have good tieups with international roaming of Jio, Airtel.
Go with plans which have wifi calling. Jio has 28 days plan for 1102

Which is a cheap local simcard in Paris?
Also I have VI. Do I need to enable international roaming (incoming SMS) on VI to be able to use my credit card internationally? Because credit card will require OTP I think?

I went to do international roaming recharge for that amount at jio centre..the person said recharge is not required as I have postpaid connection...he activated the international roaming on myjio app.. however the network did not work in srilanka in my 3 days stay.....It was showing hutch in place of jio but i could not make calls or access to data.
