International Roaming on Vi for receiving SMS

I have Vi and want to understand that if I travel outside India, will the SIM keep working and will I received OTP SMS and such without explicitly activating international roaming (don't even see an option to do this)? I don't want to buy any expensive packs as I don't need outgoing calls or SMS and just need for incoming OTP messages and such.
