Intimation 143(1) not received (Income Tax)

Filed ITR. Processed successfully and received following message

ITR for AY 2020-21 and PAN xxxxxxx has been processed at CPC. Intimation u/s 143(1) has been sent to your registered email ID. If not received check in SPAM folder.

Processed in December.

No intimation received on email. Nor its available in ITR portal for download.

Raised grievance on portal. Received as usual sarkari reply ‘verify your emai’  Its verified and received all other alerts or communication.

Anyone faced similar problem. What the solution?

Check your profile section for the email id you have provided, change it if incorrect and request for a fresh intimation

Go to income tax filing website dashboard > View Filed returns > Select Income tax returns > click on the the year…. (wait for two days, if you dont see it)

I too had the same problem
I could not see any email from them but in SMS its mentioned.
Found no solution

Yes seems a problem at their end but no solution they have.

Mine is not processed yet for ITR2, its in e-verified state only for months

Under e-file once Check ‘Response to Outstanding Demand’ to see if there is any demand

No demand. All good. Grievances response also sent CPC document id or order id but nowhere to find it.

Most probably it came in Spam folder but since spam folder auto delete the content in 30 days it got deleted.

I regularly check my spam folder. Not delivered

It can take upto 1 week after this email to get 143(1). You can download it by logging into incometax site.

You can download it from Income tax web site. I can download my last year PDF file. This year not yet processed for me.

It is not mandatory that, department may or may not send the intimation..

On same boat as OP. Not in spam, cannot be downloaded from incometax website. Received same SMS.

I have no solution. I had called up incometax helpline no. got no satisfactory reply.
It’s been a month now.
I can see “Download intimation order” in my last year’s return page. Which fails to download anything.

I’m happy that everything is processed and I got my refund properly.

I can suggest you to call up CPC if you want. While ending do tell there are other users like you too biggrin

yes no idea if they will help or not.. I just submitted it. Main issue is to make them understand. Most times they think we are the dumb users.

Resolution: Dear Taxpayer, processing of your return filed for the said AY has been completed. Intimation has been sent to your registered e-mail id. Request you to verify your registered email id for the intimation.

Transaction Status: CLOSED

Some high ranked IT officer talked on phone and told me that in this digital age you don’t need to change your jurisdiction, everything is online and you can resolve all your issues in a jiffy using e-Nivaran. Some time later I called up central 1800 IT customer care and asked him if I really needed to change jurisdiction. He asked me who gave me this advice and said when issues occur e-Nivaran or sitting at home and clicking buttons is not gonna help you, you have to pay a visit to your AO.
