I’m planning to upgrade to iPhone 12 from my current POCO F1, It’s been 2.5 years since I’m using it, and started facing a couple of problems. The current MRP is ₹84,900 for the 128GB variant, after the HDFC CC discount it would cost around ₹79K.
Please help with -
- Is it a good time to purchase iPhone 12 or should I wait for the new year/republic sale because HDFC is already giving 6k.
- When we can expect the price cut, possible when the next phone will be launched.
- Any additional offers like SmartBuy or an affiliate we can combine with HDFC?
- I have travel plans to Dubai in February, Is it advisable to purchase from there? How much we can save and any custom/taxes?

If you can wait, then yes of course you should. iPhone 12 has launched just a month back and has not seen any discount from MRP till date. Besides, 79k is a ridiculous amount of money for any mobile phone irrespective of your income level. I also plan to purchase one next year but when offers come and price becomes around 50k or something. If corona blows over by summer (which I highly doubt though) then we may see a sale by August next year, when iPhone 13 may launch. If you must purchase a new phone now, then go for it utilising the bank cashback offer but if you can wait then you should.
If you are going to Dubai then it would be much cheaper there. But I heard some Factime issues and whatnot, not that I know or care what Facetime even is.

better buy iPhone 11 pro, u can get for around 74k with bank offers
But 5G is scheduled to be launched by end of 2021 so considering the amount of investment shouldn’t we get the 5G enabled phone?
