Hello guys,

My mother wanted to open IPPB savings account so she asked me to fill some forms..instead I opened the digital savings account in 5 mins but after that I noticed it says need to visit post office for full kyc.. if anyone has done this before, can confirm please what documents will be required? After kyc will I get the debit card and passbook?

Did I do mistake by opening digital savings account? 🤔:pensive:

IPPB accounts needs physical KYC done at the post office. No physical debit card is provided with this account, only virtual card. The account you are looking for is called POSA(post office savings account) which can be opened at post office only. They provide atm card. You can link ippb account and posa account after both are opened. But better open in HDFC/ICICI or SBI/BOB.

It's not worth it.

One of the worst account you can ever open.

Avoid it.

I think there are some charges for the virtual debit card as well and some maintenance charges per month

Account will be opened online..but by default it will be in debit freeze.. until you complete full kyc by visiting post office..

Not recommended..not worth it..
