I have a fd based credit card in icici bank. My account is 6 months old , so i have a question is having a fd card will reduce my chances to getting pre-approved offer ??

Yes , i am working now and also i have mab around 2 lac and monthly transactions around 1 lacs ( self transfer, UPI, bill payment ) . My account is salary account in icici.
If you already have ICICI credit card, there are very fewer chances of getting LTF pre-approved credit card. This is as per my observation. I also had an FD based Card. I closed my card after 11 months. The next month I got an offer for LTF platinum card.
Thanks , i requested to close my fd card , let’s see what happens..
Update : i closed my current fd based credit card. Let’s see after how many month of this ,i get pre approved cc offer
Why not applying rather than waiting?
When I visited ICICI bank for KYC, she offer me add on card amazon pay, he asked me what I do, I told my I have my shop (clothes). She declined to issue amazon pay. She told me to apply after 3~6 moths again. But I know as per my experience, they are not gonna issue without salary, ITR.
I am very new to this thing. Can anyone help, how to know cibil score without getting spammed with messages. Last time I checked on some website, they sent so many messages.
You can use your bank netbanking section (icici has this ) or try official website .. afaik i haven’t received any spam call as of now..
which sbi cc is good for shopping on amazon and flipkart??
I ve applied for simply click.. received confirmation cum verification call on 22 Dec..I ve been informed that vil receive card within 10 days.. But no confirmation SMS r email yet.. Tracking also showing as pending only.. Will it show automatically in SBI yono app once d card no is generated r v should manually add there? @guest_999
SBI yono app is sbi bank app & has nothing to do with sbi credit card other than having the feature of adding sbi credit card for checking some details. Once your card no. is generated you should receive an email on the registered email id with sbi card & then you can create an acc on sbi card website using the card number in email or in sbi card app.
Update : i applied for the credit card online on 26th dec 2020 and uploaded documents too ..its been more than 2 days but i haven’t received any call from them .. .. is there any clue that how many days they take to call for online application ??
@dark.demon I suggest you to stay away from Icici bank credit card, I understand they have some offers from time to time but their actual credit card isn’t rewarding plus they messup the cibil profile very badly, they keep adding random entries for address which are not related to the customer and when you close the card they don’t update in cibil as well for months.
Personally, if your preference is amazon shopping then better get any hdfc bank card as they have smartbuy which gives 5% cashback instavouchers of amazon plus shopping on amazon as well. Plus their Infinia and Diners black card are awesome and still the market leaders.
True af.. i had fd based cc and they messed up my name ..now i can’t even correct it.. i have closed the fd based cc..i have hdfc cc with me now.. though i had applied for icici cc but thanks to your advice.. i might skip it now… .
Thanks

Is it ltf because if not then it is costly for the benefits it give?
.
Icici credit card has redemption charges for each payback transaction around 39 includes GST. Be aware
Nope. I’ve redeemed many times through payback website and not a single rupee was charged.
are you currently working? if not, there is very less to no chance to get pre-approved offer. If you are already working, you can get a credit card using your ITR.
