Is HDFC Infinia (Metal) still the best card in India?

Is it worth to take it as a paid version (12500+gst)

How many Dimers use Infinia? And what is the best use of this card?

Subjective based on usage.
for some even Ace might be a better card than Infinia due to cashback and way lower fee..

But even if you do close to 60-70K smart buy shopping(Best use is via Smartbuy platform) in year one can easily breakeven considering 1 reward point to 0.5 GV conversion ..rest all is bonus

Surely one of the best card to have. if someone is shopping for 4L plus in a year.

Depends on whether you plan to travel by flights. For folks like me , who dont travel.. Axis Ace and LTF Diners Club Black works out better.

Dinner club is just a bit below Infinia. if you dont have that then Infinia makes lot sense even without travel (it makes so so sense for smartbuy purchases)

Don’t forget the hotels aspect too. I also don’t take flights much , but the varieties of hotels (budget hotels included too) in all tourist places helps a lot on yearly trips.

Also recently infinia had an offer for two days to redeem RP to amazon voucher at quite good rates. If this happens once a year, then it might be very helpful for persons who travel nowhere.

Now you get tanishq and few more brand vouchers at 1rp conversion rate on smartbuy portal itself. Easy festival gift, I guess smile

The same offers are applicable on Diners Black.. Hotels and redeem RP to amazon voucher at good rates. So depending on use case.. LTF Diners Black may be better to hold vs Infinia.

Why do you say so? I mean is it just due to the LTF aspect. Many people do have the Infinia as LTF too.

yeah.. i mean if Infinia is offered as LTF. i would take it… if not then I feel it may not be worth it, atleast for my use case i.e no travel.

Use Ace for smaller transactions and use Diners black LTF only for smartbuy or 10X

Nice.

As for me both cards were costing the same (LTF) and I chose the infinia due to its higher benefits and being a superior card. And most importantly since Diners has a bit lower acceptances.

Maybe once or twice a year, I buy gadgets when the double smartbuy limit helps a lot too.

Basically if one gets an option to choose amongst the two.. they should opt for Infinia. Both cards are premium and the best in the industry, just that infinia has a little bit edge over DCB..

@moriarty

If you find that you do travel even once a year. You will be able to utilise the infinia points as 1:1. For example I plan to utilise it for hotel bookings (simple budget ones) during my annual trips.
People on DD have earned in lakhs per annum, so it’s your decision based on your annual spending’s if you will earn back the annual fees and way more or not, without doing unnecessary spends.
