Is it just me or many things are out of stock in amazon?

I was finally thinking about purchasing some household stuff that I kept in wishlist for awhile waiting for a yesteryear discount. But since covid19 cases started to spike all time high in assam after election, I thought to buy those.
But all almost all things are either out of stock or showing undeliverable messages.
Is it happening to all places or only those badly affected and going under various half ass lockdowns??

Buy from Flipkart. Flipkart is delivering everything. Amazon is having issues with Delivery Guys. Might be teaching rogue ones a lesson in the name of non-essentials 😑

How?
Flipkart doesn’t have guaranteed delivery, they cancel out of their own will.

@lotusgod @MrKool_JJ @saucap as mentioned by @desiman, it mostly has to do with the ‘half ass’ lockdown (quoting the terminology used by @hana25)

[i think Madhya Pradesh and your area Bhopal (@lotusGod) would have that restriction. @engineer_babu in democracies like Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Bharat: it is we the people who choose the ‘govt’. so if anyone is culprit, it is us. not the leaders or the supreme leader].

Narayan Moorthyji is fully local person😛 and so should (businesses like) Catamaran/ Prione Services be!

surely our ethical, honourable (even revered) 🐗politicians🐖 would NEVER allow direct or indirect foreign investment (FDI/ F I I) in multi-brand retail trading businesses.

all are local businesses only😏🙂

by the way, many businesses or sellers i interacted with (be it Snackdeal, Bansalkart or Jeffreshwara zon) rather prefer to pay Amazon/Flippedkart for EasyShip (aka delivered by Amazon), Fulfillment (inventory held by Amazon) or even loosing their identity as a seller and meekly becoming a ‘vendor’ to the group companies of the marketplaces.
(perhaps it does not apply to Jack Ma Mall, Snackdeal)
on Flippedcart and Bezoszon, they would rather let the items get listed as ‘sold by’ Cloudtail or Shreyash Retail, than to take charge of individual orders/ customers.

even if we do want to help the neighbourhood business and shop from there (even at the hassle of going there and not enough discounts) are we actually even getting half the things we need?

i have never ordered medicines on-line for my family or self (although my parents have).
but in the past 2+ years, i have not got ANY shop which sells http://midas-care.com/brands_healthca...hp MidasCare’s all three sprays: Mistdress (liquid spray bandage), Relispray (pain relief spray) and Coolex (burn relief spray).
and my observations are not restricted to one state or territory!

same with stuff like basic/original " FreshOne’s “/ FreshOnes tissues http://www.packmybag.in/index.php?route=product... in small packs/ manageable sizes. (one easy to carry in a lady’s handbag/purse or gent’s toiletries kit)
or
even Silvo, Brass, Pitambari, Scotchgard spray https://www.scotchgard.com/3M/en_US/scotchgard/...

it is not like these are new names or rare items. we have literally used them for decades.

for the three MidasCare spray/brands, at some point in 2017-2018, i was even willing to pay the printed price.
the shopkeepers, at best gave the ”color: #000000">’hain bhaiya, kal shaam tak aa jaayega or the classic bhaiya… maal aa nahi raha hai, order tou kiya hai. tab tak aap ye BikidasCare ka 2060 spray le jaao, yeh MidasCare se achha hai

spray-on starch … i have scoured through almost every B2C and B2C store or chain of outlets in the past 7-8 years.
even firang B2C ones like BestPrice (Walmart), Metro wholesale and desi Sahakari Bhandaar (nee Reliance Retail), EasyDay (Bharti¿ turned FutureGroup turned zombie), Dmart, Hypercity and so on.

i feel inferior in going into hoity-toity stores [even a simple Nature’s Basket or whatever those Parsi bawa log (Wadia/ Godrej) had, makes me queasy. Spencer’s took over, i think].
so i prefer not to venture into such places/ establishments (situated) in Cuffe Parade, Carter Road, Greater Kailash/ South Ex. (Lajpat Nagar) or similar locations in South Delhi, South Bombay or elsewhere.
(like…. given a choice i would not even enter, let alone eat, at star hotels or eateries where one has to use forks and knives. becomes awkward to excuse myself out of professional engagements at such places.)
call it inferiority complex or call it “i do not need to, so i do not”, but i prefer not to have to go to chains/stores where a Neeta Ambani or Sunjay Kapur would want to go. (side note: his Sona Koyo Steering systems limited always gave us above average profit whenever we held the stock for 5-6 years).

Hypercity is the only ‘average person’ store/ shop where i once found the (past halfway to expiry) spray starch.
‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎‏‏‎ why😔?
i did not even need it, but when i saw it, i recollected my paternal aunt (ମାଉସୀଙ/ bhua ji/ ¿pesuey¿) reminiscing about how… earlier she would find it easy to starch Uncle’s (peusaa‘s) clothes and now she is older or tired and his (her hubby’s) clothes do not hold up during ironing.
so i impromptu bought it to send it to her🙇🏻. (this was over 7-8 years back at some Hypercity store.) hoping that uncle’s kurtas/shirts could be starched on the spot, while ironing them.

these things (for 500ml sized canister) are still under 300INR equivalent or thereabouts EVEN IN A COSTLY MARKET LIKE Britain. and this is 2021, when prices and @pandemic have only gone📈up.
(if i recollect right, the ones i bought at Hypercity physical store were of a British brand, and canister bottled/ packed within Europe.)

https://www.swiftchoicesupplies.com/products/sp...

https://www.williamgee.co.uk/shop/dylon-spray-s... so i presume it isn’t exactly something “precious”.
it is more like routine stuff… just like the shoe spray/ anti odour anti fungal sprays for footwear.

then how and where to conveniently shop at local businesses, even without any @pandemics?

They are out of stock because most suppliers are at international cargo hubs like Maharashtra, Delhi and Karnataka which are facing office locked.

Plus physical stores have forced AZ from selling non essentials because even they have been stopped by local municipalities.
