Is there an upper limit for paying insurance through amazon Pay balance?

I learnt through a recent youtube’r comment that he was unable to see any available payment method other than UPI for his electricity payment above 10K.

I have stacked up some wallet balance in the order of 50K, targeted for an upcoming insurance payment. The bill hasn’t been triggered yet. I am a bit jittery, if those kinda restrictions have been extended to insurance payments too. For example, I won’t be able to use my aPay balance, and only UPI sh*t would be available option.

Amazon has restricted 10k for electricity payment, you can use higher amounts for insurance payment. Also is your account full KYC?

Personally have used till 38k. You can find multiple posts here, check what others have paid.

I have paid insurance worth 36k using apay balance and it works perfectly.

But the comment that the YouTuber made, is correct, i.e. specifically for electricity bills, one can’t pay using apay balance if bill is worth more than 10k.

It mentions to use upi to use to pay for more than 10k worth electricity bills;

On that note, can any dimer help here? I also need to pay electricity bill for around 13k and amazon isn’t allowing using apay balance and unfortunately I really want to use apay balance to pay the bill so any way around this would be very appreciated.

I think you can pay it through Amazon Pay Balance as I remember my friend paying it. But as the payment is after few weeks/months, check if you can pay the bill before it has been generated. There has been many instances, wherein insurance payment on Amazon Pay did not work for couple of days in a row.

works for bills up to 10K only; so that is as good as paying from Amazon itself

the only way i can think of using apay balance is by partially paying using some other portal so that it becomes less than 10k
and, I can’t just get a new card just for bill payment bhai

the only doubt I have is that electricity bill payment works bill generation cycle, so even If i pay some amount which makes the remaining to just less than 10k, I’ll have to wait till next cycle and then can i only pay but then I’ll also have to consider next month’s consumption being included in bill.

Yes that’s how it can work but the only problem is which portal will let you pay the x amount partially that you wants to pay when bill is already generated.

Paytm allows partial bill payment but only when bill is not generated I guess.

That(partial payment) is also not possible, ‘no tricks possible’ means that only

This month u have to let it go

If u can somehow pay, say by requesting that physical counter payment collection person, then in one day Amazon will show updated bill <10K assuming u paid 3k+ in counter

PAYTM and electricity board in my area both support partial payment, so I am good with that, the only point I was trying to make is that I’ll in any case have to wait for next billing cycle for the amount to be shown less than 10k for next bill onwards

Then pay 3K+ and wait for 1 or 2 days and check on Amazon it will show updated bill for this month only as new amount so u can pay using ApayBal; no need to wait till next cycle
