is there any Hotspot device which allows you to lock/change LTE band?

I am using two devices exclusively for Hotspot

Jiofi >> This device sucks as Jio network is poor + we can’t lock bands…

Lyf Flame mobile >> Have been using this as hot spot ever since I bought this
But have to change battery every year because it swells like bubble gum

i used redmi note 4G as hotspot during initial stage that heats like a hot pan, now using my redmi note 4, which is cool even running for more than 24 hours as hot spot.

I m using Airtel data card E3272 with tplink mr3020 router, with a modified dashboard of Airtel 4g datacard band locking is possible. It may work with airtel hotspot device though i haven’t tried it on Airtel hotspot device. Its working fine on Airtel 4g datacard.

How much it costs you for battery ? You buy original or 3rd party ? And from where ?

I m using Airtel Hotspot E5573Cs-609, i can lock any desired band in it through AT commands

For Jiofi battery not required.

Pls remove the battery and connect the jiofi with the charger directly full time.

Yes. i have connected it with my desktop ups.

When power goes i will use internet from my mobile by switching on hotspot till power comes again. If power is going off frequently in ur locality, then it is not the best option.

Boot shot for Latest firmware ver 21.329.63.00.284 current usb loaders.bin are not working.
you need latest usbloader .bin, currently no usbloader is available .

Use a USB3 port, this happens when your USB2 port can not supply enough current. Using a better cable also helps.. Using a motherboard connected USB2 port also helps.. But since USB3 ports can supply 2A, cables dont make much difference with them..

rs500.. But I can get you one for 400 for friends and family discount as mine is always connected via USB port and always powered on and I dont use the battery..

The charger that came with it? Cable makes a huge difference.. Thats why those JIO cables are so thick.. Thin cables work but it has to be well made like the ones that come with samsung. My extended USB ports can not work with this device since during transfer it requires more than the 500ma that the port supplies.. Although generally LTE only uses 600ma, during a storm and such that goes up to 3000ma… So in such cases you do need a USB3 port or Battery to provide additional power or it will disconnect.

jiofi charger is of 1A. I tried many 1A chargers and 2A chargers on mi and protonics but same result.

I saw this device was available for 999rs at Amazon & FK a few days back.

Airtel modem E5573CS-609 ver 21.329.63.00.284 is unlockable and can select manually desired network band with modified firmware and web interfaces.
There is firmware available for this modem. but it very risky if it fails (it wont happen) to flash fimrware, device will be dead permanently . (until new solution) .

unzip with winrar and install, when finished insert any operator sim card, open 192.168.8.1
in network setting there option to select manually network selection. like onlt LTE. then select desired band.
The device works without battery only with UMTS (HSPA+) network, if you select LTE then device reboot .

Better Buy Airtel home wifi . model number B310 927.best network coverage. it is unlockable. i am using BSNL prepaid plan 1098 Maharashtra . ULTD talk, and ULTD data 84 days validity. with speed 8-11 mbps in speedtest app. i use daily 10GB data. it has landland port ,we can make calls through this port using regular landline phone. No need of broadband.

Jiofi is a pure waste. Getting only 50-100 KBPS. Getting 10-15MBPS on mobile.
