Is there any legal way to lodge complaint against a fraud playstore app?

I recommended an app <name removed as one dimer suggested me to retry contacting the CC so won’t let them identify me> ( available in playstore) to one of my nearby area shopkeeper(my friend) for his mobile recharging purposes. He was using their services which was ok but from last one month; some recharges were taking more than 1 hour to get processed which usually resulted in conflicts with his customers. So, He approached customer care with the problem but they usually gave already framed answers and that also very late. Last week, He added 8000rs to that app wallet, now again same problem happened, again customer care didn’t respond. So, He gave the app 1 Star rating ( in description he wrote slow app). Now, from last 5 days, all recharges were going into processing mode, so 4 days ago he approached me for help. I contacted them via mail, they said it is operator problem for 1 day then 2nd day they showed screenshot of 1 star review and asked to change it to 5 star to process request further which I did for him and sent them the screenshot via mail. After that they asked now to go there in google play store and ask for resolution. They said, We won’t be able to help and said that the problem is from operator end. Now just for testing he added another 10rs to wallet which got added which means they let him add money to account but once trap is set, money would be stuck forever. Now, He has around 5000Rs stuck in that app wallet ( 3000rs worth pending recharges + 2000rs unused balance).
Is there any way to lodge complaint against this people as I don’t think just giving 1 star rating to an app gives them the right to loot all the money of the person? Also this app is rated 4.1 star in playstore, how can i report this app to playstore.

Yes, I am the same guy. Admin over there is very knowledgeable person so I posted the same thing to get advice from him but seems like he missed my post there.
Bro if these losses are worrying, just call customer support and ask for solution otherwise with the help of people here app rating can be hampered a lot …it has rating of 3 only …going more down will bring losses to them and they will give proper resolution.
You can get that app removed (won’t be easy though) from store, but that’s for apple and google to decide.
Try Apple first, they take actions faster and are serious about it.
@anjulk2281 actually in website rating is 3.3 but when you search in playstore, the rating is 4.3. I don’t know why is there variation.
does not matter …if dimers attack …then rating will be down for sure and help many users to not download this app
You can best ask them to refund the complete stuck amount (pending recharge + unused wallet) back to the source.
Not sure to which you are talking about but try to escalate to a higher level if you know their email id or Twitter handle or try mailing their owner.
Thanks sir for kind words. I would surely need dimers help if they don’t help me in next 48 hours. At least we can ruin their rating if not get them removed from play store as the app is quite popular and used by more than 5lakh people. So, God knows how much money they might have looted from retailers.
give them 5 star rating.
tell cs that he has corrected his rating.
use your wallet balance.
now,don’t top wallet.
when balance goes 0. all money used.
rate them 1 star + report them
Did you even read, understand the full post he wrote?
He says he already did the ratings upgrade and even sent to the CS.
And after that his shopkeeper friend even added 10Rs. for trial purpose.
Before going legal way, did you try finding out if their services can be used for commericial/business purposes?
Actually the app is quite popular in app store, Like rated 4.3 in playstore app ( 3.3 in web version of play store don’t know why) and used by 5Lakh + retailers as per the playstore which looked good point to start with.
You can search the name of the company which has developed the app, and then try to get details of real people behind the app.

Ab kya kar sakte hai, galti ho gayi bhai. mujhe laga playstore app mein 4.1 star rated hai , 5lakh se jyada downloads hai aur phir chote amount se recharge karte the toh recharge ho raha tha acche se.
Given 1 star, lets bring down the ratings. these fraud apps must be punished
