I also received a call in the morning after making a ₹2000 UPI transfer to my secondary bank account to confirm whether the transaction was made by me. I understand they call If transaction they call If transaction is made on odd hours but this one was around 11 am in the morning.

Sorry for late reply bro. Yes, the transaction was done through Gpay. Not the first time I sent 2K to that account but as far as I remember it was first time via Gpay (Also, first time sending 2K via Gpay to this account.) Was that the reason they called? I received the call within 5 seconds of making the transaction hence quite worried.
Yes, the message was from HDFCBN.
Even I received that debit card message. Is this triggered to all by mistake or actually hdfc made some changes?
Was the upi txn done from gpay? Was this the first time you were sending 2k to this particular user?
Sometimes they call on random basis and clarify so there is nothing to worry about.
