Hi Dimers,

check this out – https://kwiksavings.com/products/leather-gaming...

it seems completely untrusted but I don’t recommend anyone buy this out, but just curious if someone had any experience buying things on this website, trying out my luck.

Looks too good to be TRUE. Also some of the words are in foreign. Have you checked the shipping charges?

First thing to do in such cases, check https certificate issuing authority & if it is Let’s Encrypt or cloudflare then avoid as these issue free https certificate. Only exception to this in India is onlyssd.com which is ssd selling division of primeabgb shop in Mumbai, biggest pc parts shop in Mumbai & official distributor of many pc part brands in India. They don’t use Let’s Encrypt on their main primeabgb site so don’t know why they use it on onlyssd.

SSL certificate is not a good way to check site trustworthiness. Many SSL issuer also offer free 3 month SSL trial which will show other issuing authority name. SSL itself cost as low as $2.

It is just one of the many signs to check for & just like any typical fraud site most can’t/don’t even spend $2 for ssl certificate. Also it is not the money but the documentation/verification process which most of these fraud sites don’t want to do.

You must be one of the hot looking guys, as earth looks all flat and sexy for you.

To us muggles, she doesn’t even care how she looks and dresses up. pensive

Also please be careful when you reach the edge of earth. Better to carry an oxygen cylinder and a space suit.

Domain verified SSL (which most websites use) are simple and easy to get. Website owner just have to verify his domain ownership and certificates will be issues. No further verification.
Note: to verify domain ownership, owner has to upload a file to his server or make some changes to domain nameserver records.

Yes but in online world more you verify something more digital footprints you leave. Majority of fraud sites I have seen use Let’s Encrypt or cloudflare ssl. Also someone who is going to be trapped by such scam sites won’t have the technical info to differentiate between let’s encrypt & other cheap paid ssl certificates anyway so why would those fraud sites go the extra mile. In short probability of someone who knows the risks of cheap paid https ssl certificate is not going to be trapped by fraud sites while someone who don’t is going to be trapped by such sites irrespective of what certificate they use.
