I received this offer via email. Did it really get 1000 CB or just that i will lose money to 1% charges etc? Any dimer used this?

Saw your sared thread. I have a few queries

1. My stmt date of idfc is 17th of every month. I have 80k bill on axis fk for which stmt date is 10th of jan and 15 days to pay that bill. So if i opt for balance transfer of fkaxis on 18th , idfc will pay the bill by 22nd jan.

.

Now idfc generates bill for this 80k on 17th feb with 20days grace period. So it would beb9th of march,2025.

Is my above understanding correct?

2. Processing fee of 1% will be charged in my 17th fe stmt and myvfinal payment will be 80k+1% which 80,800. So i pay 800 extra. Now this PF will be reversed after 60 days that is i will get 800 back on 17th of april stmt and 1000cb on 17th may..

.

Is this correct?

.

3. Any other charges or any additional/hidden charges i am missing?

.

4. Did it impact your CIBIL?

@playdime

1. Yes but Few things you need to know The maximum amount allowed for balance transfer is 60% of unused limit on card, so for 80k Balance transfer you need around 1.35L limit Free on Your IDFC card, plus the offer you shared is valid till 9 Jan so you have to do BT before that. In this case Your idfc bill will generate on 17 January. 2. The final payment will be 80k+800+GST, yes that 800+GST will be reversed approximately after 60 days and you will receive your 1000 CB in subsequent statement. 3. There are no charges for balance transfer but don't choose EMI option, it is chargeable and not interest free so only choose balance transfer without EMI. 4. No, Balance Transfer without EMI conversion doesn't impact CIBIL.

No it does not.

No impact on cibil as you're not opening new loans or utilisation. But bank (idfc) will mark you (in their internal) books as potential risky/something that which could impact future opportunities LE/Pre-approved offers/etc

So be sure if you really want to do this.
