I am in the market for an ISOFIX car seat and don't want to exceed a budget of ₹5000. Sadly, it looks like that is too low.
From my research so far, the budget options are Lifelong, R for Rabbit, and LuvLap and except Lifelong others are in the ₹8k range. Non-ISOFIX is a little cheaper at around 6k but with my Punch having ISOFIX mount points, I am thinking of ISOFIX since they are easy to install and safer(?). At the same time, these are all Chinese imports with no real certification behind them. On the other hand, big certified brands like Chicco, and Graco cost in the range of ₹25k.
Do Dimers here have any advice for me?

how about taking some time to explore the desi and/or U.S./Europe markets for previously used by in good condition product of a reputed brand/ good make?
@LordGane / @user_2226813, both of you have raised valid points. I did evaluate both options - going for a pre-owned branded seat / spending a big sum. I decided to take something is better than nothing approach and placed an order for https://www.amazon.in/Babykins-Convertible-Isof.... From my research, I felt that the likes of LuvLap / R for Rabbit command a premium for similar features. Reviews though lesser in number for this one, are positive. The delivery is expected tomorrow - fingers crossed.
by now things would have been received and found to be of good build, proper workmanship,
with the size and build, dimensions suitable for Punch that you have.
And the 👶🏻bundle of joy👼🏻 has given their🤍 seal of approval.
The only downside was the packing - there was no protective plastic cover inside the carton for the seat and the base plastic was dusty. I have a hunch that some buyer returned the product and it was lying in storage for a while. In contrast, the cushion was fine.
Overall the seat feels value for money.
@gischethans Is it making any noise? Also are you using in rear facing or front facing mode?
When crash tests are made, companies also use certified car seats not cheaper ones. Why compromise on safety for few thousands when spent lakhs on a car?
