ISRO SSLV launch failed, we need Indian private space companies
ISRO SSLV launch failed, we need Indian private space companies:
I hope you guys already heard this bad news.
Personally, i feel we need more Indian private space companies.
ISRO took 6 to 7 years to make SSLV and still failed, On the other hand 6 to 7 new foreign private space companies came, They build new smaller rockets within 2 to 3 years, 1000 times better than SSLV and launch into orbit successfully.
And guess what this small rockets are also cheaper than SSLV.
ISRO still use 1960s old solid rocket. When will the people of ISRO get the idea to make a new rocket engine from liquid methane and liquid oxygen.
And i know kuch log abhi dialouge maarenge "Every failure is a stepping stone towards success" or "It's not a failure, it is the key of success"
It feels good when ISRO is doing something new by itself. All ISRO's rocket engines get from technology transfer from other countries.

there are few private space companies in india but due to regulations and lack of fundings, they are not able to do great things.great minds from those companies are migrating outside this country.
our space mission is based on soviet era stuff. need to reshuffle many things but highly unlikely.
Hopes and wishes of normal people won't do a thing, max they can do is talk about Nationalism . Unless the private company is from Ambani / Adani (which these hardcore businessmen won't get into considering the financial aspects [Investment + return]).. its hard for a private company (low/medium budget) to get into space projects to survive
After four three consecutive failures, it is NASA's $1.5bn contract that saved SpaceX from bankruptcy. Companies won't become successful just like that.. they need a lot of financial support from govt & non-govt agencies (Even if the founder is a billionaire , he/she won't stay that away for long considering the R&D and failures) and in a hugely populated country like ours with countless problems.. a lot feel such investment isn't appropriate
SpaceX became bankruptcy because of Starship.
I am talking about a normal rocket here, which can earn money by launching a satellite. Not a dream to send humans to Mars.
Few hundred million dollar is enough to create a new space company and make a new rocket, Ofcourse rocket will fail in first launch but after 3-4 launch, you will get success.
And it will also be cheaper than SSLV and will be completed in a few years.
That's not all, new space company also build a new rocket and launch into orbit within a few weeks.
Let them do a retrospective and I am sure they will come with a bang.
New rocket bana chahiye from liquid methane and liquid oxygen, na ki 1960s era k solid rocket engines.
Isme time bhi lagta ha rocket engine banane me mahino k aur cost bhi bahot jada aata hai.
As of 7 August 2022, there have been a total of 82 launches, including 67 successful launches, 5 partial successes, and 10 failed launches.
Who knows? Very soon you may get Adani ISRO or Jio ISRO
Sir, Modiji ka bhi toh kabhi mann hota hoga naa, desh duniya toh bahut ghoom liye, ab chaand ko bhi ghoom aayein. Ab Chacha Chaudhary saab ke paas toh Saabu bhi tha aur Rocket bhi toh woh toh Jupiter aaram se ghoom aaye, Praan sir ke rehte rehte. Toh dekhiye kya hota hai aage क्रमशः
Privatization 👎👎👎👎👎👎🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
No private companies means no salary for ISRO employees or any other govt companies.
Bhuke maar jayenge agar private companies na raha desh me toh aur bahot kam private companies raha desh me toh bhi.
And i m not blaming anyone, jo privatization se hate karte because humara desh ek communist desh tha, Humare parents ek communist country me janam liye the, bachpan se humare communist mindset wale parents ne hume communisum sikhaya hai. Aur unko bhi blame nahi kar sakte ha because humare grandparents aisa desh me janme the jab desh independent nahi tha.
Now things will change. Private companies nahi raha toh desh ka growth rukk jayega, govt employees ko salary nahi milega, jo govt companies profitable hai because of private companies support woh bhi loss me aa jayega, log bhuke maar jayega. Last me wohi hoga jo koi bhi communist country k sath last me hota hai.
is nothing new.
The best we (commoners) can do is to have our heads on our shoulders.
The speedbumps are just that; mere speadbreakers. Nothing else!
ISRO has had reasonably fast turnaround times and fairly resilient systems
despite all the internal and external sabotage... over the decades.
Since only the stage 3 propulsion and the subsequent 'logic' (mostly software based) system had some issues, I would not call the entire thing a failure.
But if someone says that the proof of the Uttapam is in eating it, I can understand.
Call it a failure if you will,
but both the satellites separated properly at 356 kilometres.
But instead of going in into a circular orbit... they got placed in an elliptical orbit.
And since the closest point on such an orbit would have brought them somewhat within 75 kilometres of Earth, it would not have worked out.
But unlike the GSLVs and the smaller but still big, PSLVs... these mini rockets (SSLVs) would soon become a monthly launch affair
and get past all the juvenile euphoria of China in having got past U.S. of A w.r.t. the number of launches in a year.
ISRO competes as a launch provider not just in terms of pricing, but also in terms of reliability.
ISRO would have the second SSLV launch before December 2022 and ought to have successful missions with it.
SSLV as a service provider for private corporations would surely see a great uptake and success in ISRO getting numerous orders from private organisations all over the world.
Yes, it would have been a bit saddening for the 750👧🏻 kids and others who made one (of the two) satellite on this mission.
As for opening up the sector and having more PPP (public private partnerships) in this field.
I am in two minds.
Even though we have the jugaad mindset as desis and as a country, the ecosystem required to make it big... still is far away (I feel).
While the likes of Bharat Forge and others were relied upon by the likes of Daimler Chrysler (Mercedes-Benz Group) and other big auto makers for the supply of even the most critical components
how far that level of dedication to specifications and timeliness can be met by most (if not all) ISRO vendors.... is something to ponder.
No doubt when the likes of NASA has moved away from making even the space suits (and will be renting it from private companies/vendors) ISRO or the Indian space program too might benefit if eventually the sector is opened up.
However I am in NO WAY going to phrase my sentences like being public entity... the ISRO is prone to more failures.
Far from it. Infact being a closed loop system has helped it kick itself in the back so many times and pushed it to use whatever (partial) foreign knowhow it had at its disposal.
The likes of Scott Manley too have often said this (that being a semi-closed system, publicly funded entity helped make it more and more resilient).
It is a matter of time when https://youtube.com/c/szyzyg/search?query=India SSLVs too would feature in one of his mini productions on youtube.
Well said.. According to him sab bech do. Kyuki asli vikas to 2014 se start hua hai. Usse pehle to sab caves me hi rehte the, koi infrastructure bana hi kaha 2014 se pehle. 😂😂
Agreed
This is the curse of jobless aerospace/aeronautical engineers in India. Even ISRO won't give job unless they graduate from their University. Hope govt and big corporations like reliance, tata invest in aerospace industry. My friend have a PhD in Aerospace Engineering graduated from IIT Madras didn't get a job because he born in this sh*t country
Why he want job ? Why he doesn't think about opening an aerospace company himself.
Mindset he galat hai yaha k logo me. ISRO already start supporting private space companies. Recently many new American aerospace company get Billions of dollar funding.
Its simple meaning, your friend is not a good engineer same like other 99% Indian engineers.
All your PhD degree and engineering is just a tool, if you dnt have any aim in your life then your all PhD degree is waste.
I hope the demand is not outcome of propaganda.
Even with this failure, i believe our ISRO is the most successful space agency in the world.
Can someone list failed missions of private companies?
