SURAT: How much money would the gangs operating in Jamtara, now infamous as India’s cybercrime epicentre, be making? One can only imagine the astronomical amount if told that just one of the several gangs pocketed Rs one lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh every day through credit card frauds.

The revelation of their daily earnings came during the preliminary questioning of three people arrested by the Sachin GIDC police on Tuesday. The police said the arrest of cyber crooks Sanjay Mandal, Vikas alias Vicky Vinod Shukla, and Momu Zamil alias Mujju Ayub Malek helped them crack three cybercrime cases lodged in Gujarat, Punjab, and Telangana. They were caught on Monday near the GIDC checkpost following a tip-off and revealed their modus operandi during interrogation.

As per the article this Jamtara trio "They were caught on Monday near the GIDC checkpost following a tip-off"😝 in Gujarat. Why were they in Gujarat when the online frauds can be comfortably done from Jamtara?

Maybe they were arrested by Jharkhand Police and handed over but arrest was shown in Gujarat for getting some extra credit.

Forget our organisations countrywide, They would even move  United nations and World Bank there to get credit, if it is in their hands.

Afaik criminals are transfered to the city police stations were complaints were registered. Also cyber cases are mostly  joint operations this days

But in such cases joint operation can be declared openly. Here they claim arrest on a tip-off at a GIDC checkpost.

I have not read the article but mostly the local police try to take the credit or the informer city police from whom it got tipped.

Again my answer is based on n number of series/documentary I see & could have no resemblance to real cases

Actually who arrested and where arrested dose not matter . Atleast now police started to crack on cyber criminals. Yesterday we read police arrested rewards chor. Today we got news of otp chor. Hope this crackdown  intensify in coming days
