Jio Fiber has started inserting Ads of upto 60 seconds when we change live TV channels or even in between shows on their set-top box 😨
It first started with 15 sec inserts while changing live tv channel and is now expanded to 60 secs Ads while changing to several of live channels like aaj tak and Ads are being inserted while show is running on live tv (noticed this in sony tv at least). note that Ads insertions are randon i.e not shown everytime one changes live tv channel but is surely insreasing in frequency.
Already live tv changing experience was bad in Jio fiber with long time to switch and not single click method, this new issue of inserting ads of upto 60 secs makes live tv viewing pretty useless on jio fiber. In fact live program is missed as they are inserting it in between shows even when there is o ad break.
And this is when we are paying 200 rupees every month for ott subscription. How can they insert their own Ads like this. We need to report this mal-practice to authorities.
Thats the reason I have purchased a regular JiofFiber connection and used the JioTv app(ad-free) on TV.

Thanks a lot @mywebid for telling this. I was thinking to get on postpaid in future for their entertainment pack, as just ₹.100 gives access to most channels.

It even shows ad between youtube videos sometimes, don't know if you noticed that but while auto playing next video in youtube sometimes there is an ad over youtube app other than youtube's own ad🥲
they are slowly and gradually showing their own ad inserts in all apps and in all live channels. pathetic. we are paying for ott, then why this.
This is the reason you can't have a monopoly, trying to keep local fiber connection ss much possible

In between soaps also they are insertimg their own Ads and sometimes even when there is no ad break!! We loose a minute of show. Complete BS.
We should complain to TRAI. They are charing us for OTT.. they can't put their own Ads in live channels of OTT.
This is totally ridiculous. Jio is forcing its customer to watch their ad and this is height of their shamelessness that they are not giving option to skip that ad. We all should raise this issue. This is totally wastage of customer time. We are not paying you to waste our time. Jago grahak jago!!!
yes.. we should send as many mails to TRAI, PMO etc. these crooks must be taught a lesson. day by day ads are increasing.
It's horrible that ads are increasing and watching programs becomi g boring . There is skip ad button but doesn't work. They are fooling US
yes.. now getting adds in between watching OTT content too! They just pause the content and show Ad. And in live channels, they aren't even pausing. We are loosing program. This is a malpractice.
Have complaint to TRAI. Please send large number of complaints.
Situation now 😡 - 8 back to back ads for 4 minutes inserted frequently while watching live channels like Aaj tak. And while watching App content like sony liv shark tank, 30 sec ad after every 10 minutes pausing the program. This is totally ridiculous.
Have sent complaint to every authority. How can Jio charge us for Apps subscription and at same time show it's own Ads either during live Tv or in between live channels.
Beware, don't take Jio Fiber with set top. It's not worth.
