I had 3 jio numbers pre-paid since 2019. I used to recharge for a year and after 2022 recharge with 336 days plan take a 45 days brk and recharge again for 336 days.
.
Last two years i never got a call from them to recharge except a few SMS.
.
Now i am getting calls day & night ( not ivr or automated, but actual person) asking me to recharge. This is not identified as spam so i am answering those calls.
.
Anyone else being harassed like this from jio?

Yea I got tired of their customer reps calling for recharge that I turn off Jio SIM when it is inactive.
The irony is if you try to contact any company they make it so difficult to get to a real customer service rep but when they want us to give them money they will harass us with real people.

My thought, this year jio is planning for IPO to loot public money big way and they need numbers and revenue to loot big.
Hence this small investment. I hate reliance for wrong practices and absolutely useless CC.
On stocks front brothers together looted big way using reliance energy , mergers etc.

I had this issue. I reported the calls and SMS to 1909. Around a week later I received a call from Jio saying they were very sorry to call despite DND being on, and it would not happen again. I was surprised. Looks like even Jio is scared of TRAI bamboo.

I picked up call named ziya ziya in truecaller -
->hello, I am calling from jio, you have not recharged your no in last 2yr,
-> So ?
-> Recharge it now or it will be closed
-> If you are so concerned about it why not you do it?
-> Sir are you willing to close your connection?
-> I have not recharged it in last 2yr years So you decide.

This also happened to me. I was considering porting from Jio to BSNL, so I stopped recharging my Jio number. One day, I received a call from a lady who said, "Recharge khatam ho gaya hai apka, kab karvayenge? When I said ki I am thinking of porting, she said, theek hai par pehle isko recharge karvayiye!"
Before this, I was undecided about porting. However, after her call, I decided to port immediately to BSNL!
Now, I think I made a mistake by porting to BSNL.

somebody does not know the meaning of and use case scenarios of the word 'stalking'.
good to see though, that sone beings prefer that the operator terminate the contract and the connection, WITHOUT warning them.
niw I too urge the operators to heed to such demands even if it seems whimsical.
disconnect such connections without bothering to invest the money on tele-callers or IVR calls.
at most, send a flash message, if any complaince issues demand intimating the customer, otherwise do not even send a text message.
