Received call from a nearby jio office asked me to recharge in next 2-3 day else the number will be suspended. It is my second number. 1re plan was expired on 12 feb 2022. Should i recharge? Is jio suspend numbers? Also this number is not recharged since 2- 3 years.

If the number is suspended. Is it possible to activate the same number?
I ported in to Jio from Airtel. It is my secondary sim and used only from OTPs. The chhatri guy from whom I took the sim recharged the number for prime plan and told to recharge once in 6 months to keep rhe sim active. Does this work for port in numbers or I have to recharge with outgoing plan?

they need 20 rs balance for extending the validity so I do 50 rs top and forget it , months later I got the email saying 20 rs is deducted for number retention then only i do another 50 rs top up.
notes that Rs 20 will be deducted from the main balance as “Automatic Number Retention Scheme” upon expiry of 90 days. The deduction will happen only if you have more than Rs 20 in your main balance. After this deduction, Reliance Jio will extend the non-usage period by another 30 days

Thanks. This seems to be the cheapest option for secondary sim.
