Hii guys.
Over the time airtel internet speed has degraded in my area so i am thinking of porting to jio as my airtel plan is expiring now. Also I rarely use calling service for that I think jio is better as I can get data voucher for top-ups.
But the mobile shops don’t give jio ported sim without plans but I want to get only sim and want to do the recharge myself as want to utilise my different wallet balances and offers.
Is it necessary to get the sim with plans if not from where I can get the sim only or any home delivery service is there I live in delhi Ncr.

I ported my sim at Reliance Digital store. No charge. No FRC.
They didn’t asked to do the the recharge??
I ported idea to jio few months back. Recharged myself. Retailer didn’t force me to get frc from them.
It is necessary to get the sim with plans. It is made compulsory now. No service provides will give just the sim, you will have to buy the plan that also of somewhere around 500 to 600, they won’t even accept lower plan than this.
But people said above they got sim only from reliance jio stores
Yes the retailer won’t give without any plans but you can buy with any monthly plan not necessary to get 500 plans to take.

can we port from VODA postpaid to JIO prepaid… are the JIO stores open in red zones within how many days full porting process complete
You can check either stores are open or not by google search and you can call them also for.the confirmation.
For porting prepaid no it takes few hours only to activate but for postpaid I think it’s around 24 hour still I am not sure about this.
Jio is already down in ncr due to heavy load 😐
I’ve ported a few numbers from Jio Store. They never asked to do frc. I myself do it. But which offer are you planning to use because now no websites/wallets are showing recharge plans like 149+99, 199+99 etc. Only possible from jio.com
Minimum we can do is 98+99.
I wanted my jio to port to either vodafone or idea. Does anyone of them offer online prepaid delivery of the port?
Vodafone and idea both network are empty and offer solid 20+mbps speed here. Jio net speed is extremely poor plus now I’m not comfortable with facebook listening in on my calls.
jio’s speed is poor because they are latching everyone on 2300 band , 
I got portel to jio from airtel and I did FRC myself even prime membership
What’s the current status now? I went to store for porting from Airtel. He was forcing me to recharge 99 prime membership + 401 plan. I told him that I already have pre-purchased plan vouchers (399 and 98 Rs plan). He said it won’t work. I need this just for incoming purpose, so no benefit of getting higher value plan.

Instead ordered sim online from 10digi
Took 199 plan + 99 prime membership
Paid 269 (Used discount code Port10 and got 10% discount.)
Got same day doorstep free delivery within few hours.
Paid money after sim delivery via Paytm.

you can go for 149 plan also but they charge rs 50 delivery charge on that plan so better to go with 199 plan. Check if they are serviceable in your area.
