My Jio SIM is facing weird problem since last week.
The signal strength on device is full, but no incoming / outgoing calls working, neither any SMS.
When someone calls me , it shows number as "busy or out of network coverage area"
There are 3 other Jio SIMs in same vicinity , but none facing this issue.
The issue gets resolved momentarily on switching the device on/off , or switching airplane mode. But again same issue after 2-3 minutes.
What could be the problem, and possible solution ?
Or might just port out to BSNL, that gave me better service than Jio. Could it be a device issue also ?
Thanks !

switch off the 5g and stay in LTE only mode if you are using it on 5G. I had the same issue with airtel 5G

Yes this is normal
This happened to me with my Airtel sim. First make sure if other sim cards are working fine in your phone or not to rule out if it's your phone that's at fault or is it the sim. Is this Jio sim of yours a little old? Check if the circuitry of your sim is a little damaged or not? With frequent taking the sim out & pushing it in, the circuits get damaged. My sim had a few scratches on the gold circuitry. I resolved my problem with exchanging the old sim for a new one (of course with the same number). Cost me some 100 bucks & I never had any problems since then.

The sim was ported from Airtel to jio last month only bro .
This problem was there since day 1 but it happened once or twice a day.
Now it's getting unbearable
If you are using dual sim mobile, then check by removing the second sim for a day.
Just check if Volte is showing or not even when signal is present.
If second sim is problem, just keep that in 2G mode.

problem is volte driver/software is shutting down automatically....back in the jio starting days it was a common issue(https://community.oneplus.com/thread/...54) later on solved in most oems phones don't know how u r facing this....a full reset can solve this or maybe u updated recently which started this issue

There is a pending software update but didnt do it intentionally. Currently trying to figure out if issue is with Jio or my device, will take action accordingly.
Exact Same thing is happening with me too but 5g device....think it jios issue.
If I use the other SIM for data in my Redmi 3s which is a single VoLTE device the Jio SIM obviously goes off the network but even after reverting to Jio for data later IC SMS almost never works until I reboot the device. IC calls do work usually. Could be a device specific issue.
Get your sim replaced. It will fix issue
