Jio stb or mi stick query

1. I have a normal non-smart TV and my primary objective is to cast my mobile/tablet’s screen in my TV. So I decided to buy a mi stick for 2.7 k. Is it a right choice? (since I heard that jio stb doesn’t support screen casting or sideloading or wireless Bluetooth connectivity. Correct me if I am wrong ).
2. In future if I opt for jio fiber’s 999 plan, can I access the complimentary ott subscriptions via mi stick or on my mobile or is it restricted to be used only in jio stb?
3. Will mi stick work on mobile hotspot?
