Not so good, it will be a headache. I got one and no one used it, so later got Samsung guru with airtel sim.

I am planning to buy Jiophone 2021 keypad phone for elderly people . I want to know if its good for basic functions like calling/sms etc . Does it even lag for basic functions? Hows battery life?

It’s good if you require it for calling only. It will live long. I am using it for almost 3 years now. Recharges queued till 2023 using all offers. Chale rahaa hai, net on hi nahin kiya kabhi. I let it go waste.

Yes, battery bloated after around 1 yr of use. So far have replaced it twice. That was I think my fault because I charged it with a 2A fast charger. Its original charger is 1A rating. Even replaced charger once. But overall phone is working fine.
