Once again, thanks to you bro, the RBI Ombudsman helped in my case;

So my story was like this: I had applied for BoB Premier CC (under the current LTF offer), it took a solid 1+ hour to submit the whole CC application very carefully (it's really a lengthy process for BoB), and then didn't even get a single mail/sms about the confirmation; anyways had saved the application number, so I was continuously checking status myself; for the around a week, I could only it as In Progress status; then after a day or two, I saw it as Declined, w/o any intimation via mail/sms; I mean not a single mail or sms regarding it; Then I sent a mail to their crm team, asking for the reason as to why it got declined; As expected, didn't get any response; then escalated the same mail to their escalation and nodal team; still no response; then I hunted down their md/ceo mailId and escalated it to him also; but as expected from those morons, no response at all !!! Then as you suggested, waited for 30 days from my first mail, and filed the RBI Ombudsman with complete story and details; and bam, next day itself got a sms saying my card application has been approved and will be dispatched shortly; in another 3-4 days received the card too; next day got a call from their cc head team guy regarding it as a confirmation.

As a reference for others, RBI circular BC.65 /09.07.005/2006-07 clearly states "The banks are required to inform the reason for rejection of credit card applications as per the extant RBI guidelines"; Honestly, I wasn't bothered about not getting the card, I was more bothered about the reason, they can't just quote internal grounds and run, RBI mandates them to give the precise reason; My credit score is pretty good and credit report is absolutely clean and couldn't think of any reason as to why it could have got declined, hence I was firm that I'll raise it and get it answered XD

Also, thanks to @narayana1dd249 who had a similar experience a year back;

It’s not showing in the app for me, but I had received a call from them regarding this, which of course I was sceptical about, but I received an email as well, offering the card as LTF.

Should I apply or apply after getting confirmation from kotak care that the card is in fact LTF?

Never got a mail from them ( LTF* ) but I did receive misleading calls from them (mostly agents*) a lot of times stating the card is LTF (but the app displayed joining + annual fees)

You can ahead if the application link (via LTF email) shows joining+annual fee as ZERO ( Personally, I would wait until the offer shows up in the pre-approved section )

I have contacted customer support and told them about the pre-approved offer and they are clueless about it and everyone told me that Kotak is not providing any LTF card and If I see any offer, asked me to apply but they won’t give LTF guarantee.
Then I have raised the issue through Kotak Write to us (Email us). I have attached the offer screenshot (showing the card with zero joining and zero annual fee). Even then I got the same replay that Kotak is not providing any LTF card.

Kotak has one of the worst customer support but apart from ZERO Joining + Annual Fee mention in the application (it was 500 last month*), i received App-Notification too for LTF card ( attached in OP )
and these offer banners are custom-designed as per bank instructions and errors here are rare (Unlike those text errors regarding Joining/Annual fees)

If you really want to have, apply it and once it’s applied only then there will be able to confirm if it’s ltf or not. Now, if it’s ltf well and good otherwise you say that I saw zero fees on NetBanking and applied . If it is charged, then I am not interested please cancel the application. They may either cancel or make it ltf based on your relationship with the bank.

Customer support executive read out some city names that are only eligible for applying credit card, my location is not eligible and also told me that even if it’s showing pre-approved offer, I have to submit salary slips/ITR and KYC.
I’m not sure, whether that’s the correct information or not. So I didn’t try applying the card.
Do you have any information about pre-approved card application procedure ? @getready

I’ve never directly applied from NetBanking.. but I got a call from agent and for that there was no verification. They just sent it to my address (not aadhar one, the one I asked them to)

Applied just now Name + PAN number got auto-fetched and they didn't ask any salary slips / ITR (Just filled residential and office address like ICICI Pre-Approved offers) But the approval is not instant (Got the Application & Form Number)

Getting daily these LTF offer emails & SMS messages from Kotak but whenever trying to apply, these morons, showing that I am only Pre-approved for their “White Luxury Card” with a joining & annual charges of 3000/-…Tried contacting their phone customer care, Facebook & Twitter support, but in vain…

They have no explanation why after clicking the League LTF card offer email, I am being asked to apply for their Luxury card…

IndusInd & SCB also disurbing too much for loans & cards almost everyday…I registered for DND on most of the bank’s sites but that did not work…

Yes Bank did not give me CC even after having high-value FD with them…Their bank manager asked me on the phone “what would do with so many cards?” Lol…I told him that it’s not your lookout…You did not give me card even after having high value banking relationships with your bank for more than 2 years…

These banks won’t learn until they hear from their papa…

You give your consent to override dnd if you ever, even once, show interest in their product by providing your number. It’s wrong, I know

dont go via RM. Try from their yes website its easy to apply.

I know it’s easy to apply on their site as I already applied 3 times on their site before in the last 2 years…

They told me that, “they won’t give me card because I already have many cards from other banks” so it’s showing as “Permanent Reject” in their system..Lol…

When I told this to the branch manager today, he told me that, I should get the card because I have more cards…But obviously the branch manager knows nothing about how his bank’s credit card team works as every department of banks are handled by different set of people & they only know details about their specific section…Like loan departments won’t know how to process a card & vice versa…

This last time only I applied via the branch credit card person & he clearly told me that, in their system it’s showing as Permanent Reject as I already have many cards & he even sent me a photo of his computer screen of their Card management system where the permanent reject was written…I asked him then why your CC team didn’t tell me this before & allowed me to apply on their site ??

He replied that, they did not tell me because they needed to fulfil their targets…And he asked me not to apply again as the application will be declined again & as usual the CIBIL will get hampered for nothing…

P.S. I never mentoned that I have applied through my RM…In-fact I don’t know who my current RM is, as I blocked most of my RM’s numbers of most other banks already because of too much unnecessary calls for loans, FDs etc…

I never showed any interest but looks like the DND is for show only…I called SCB few days back & I told them why are you calling me everyday 10 times for loan on card offers when I already registered for DND on your site more than 2 months back ?? i told her that, I still even have the screenshot & the DND refeence number from their very own site but she kept on saying that, she is not seeing any DND registration…

Then she manually took the DND request & gave me a reference number but the “loan on card” calls, sms & emails are still coming…The calls are getting thankfully blocked by Truecaller automatically as most people have already reported these numbers as spam numbers…HDFC is calling for these loan on card crap too, almost daily but in the HDFC, real people are calling me from office numbers & everyday I am having to tell them that, I am not interested in any loans but the calls are still on…I wish I didn’t have linked my personal number wiith all the banks otherwise I could keep that number switched off…

Kisiko mila Kotak ke LTF card ?? I am only getting fake robotic replies from them in all the channels, i.e phone customer care, email customer care, facebook, twitter…Tried everything…

I tried just now once again & asked them to provide me their Nodal officer email & that too they denied to give…

On this page here : https://www.kotak.com/en/customer-service/griev... , they have forms to contact Nodal officers but this form can’t be submitted without a SR number which they never gave me…I tried the “Interaction ID” which I had got after contacting them via Netbanking but this Interaction ID did not work on the above form…

Twitter pe Kotak ke timeline dekh ke hi pata chal raha hain ke, just how many people are frustrated with them & complaining & tagging RBI in their tweets but these people are shameless…Even in Twitter DMs, they are only sending robotic replies…

I told them on the phone, that if you don’t solve the issue & don’t give me the Nodal officer email, I will take help from RBI Ombudsman & the “gentleman” simply told me on the phone that, “you can do whatever you want as you are the customer”….All they have to say is, visit our website www.kot...om & raise a complaint from there like we don’t know it aleady…

So, be it…I am going to raise the issue with RBI & then will see what happens…Sidhi ungli se ghee na nikle, toh ungli tedi hi karna padega…

I had a 3.75L FD with Yes Bank which matured yesterday & I removed all the balance to other banks & now the bank manager & other bank stuffs are calling to do an FD again & saying it will help me get a card…Lol… I had the FD for 1.6 years & they did not even give me a Pre-approved offer & kept declining the card applications for invalid reasons..

India mein bank account instantly open ho jaata hain but to close the account, we have to visit the branches… rage

But currently unable to visit branch, so had to keep 10k AMB in Yes Bank..Later will go & close the account…

EDIT : Tried to complain on Ombudsman but the site asks for proof of what Kotak responded to my complaint…I selcted no response from Kotak & the form mentions that I must wait for 30 days after sending the complaint to the bank…So, I will file the complaint next month as I know for sure, Kotak is not gonna solve it without an official complaint.

I got LTF offer for royale signature card.
I have kotak 811 account and it was showing white luxury card as per approved with joining and Annual fees.
However I got call from their agent claiming that I have an pre-approved LTF offer of royale signature card. I was skeleptical about it but agent assured me that it’s LTF and if annual charges are shown during application process I can drop from there. Process went smooth no documents collection. And even I could see joining and Annual fees as 0 during application process.
