in the last para it says..
"BJP members did not take part in the discussion on the resolution and staged a walkout"
Except BJP every party wants reservations... person from OC is will be useless in future.

Bhai Chattisgarh has a significant population of reserved categories, so this increase is immaterial
Frankly I was shocked at the headline since I missed reading Chattisgarh. Thoughts of moving out of India had started crawling

It is about principle of equality, just because a community is 60% of population doesn't mean it should get 60% seats in every organization because by that logic Parsis & Jains wouldn't get anything but they are currently the most successful communities in India both in terms of financial as well as social achievements.

I understand that bhai, was just mentioning that even such higher reservations won't make any difference since the population demographics for Chattisgarh are different from the national average.
Otherwise 76% sounds ridiculous on the national basis, but with context, its digestible.

In this country where elections are won by a 25-30% segment of population voting for a particular party this is a disaster in making if not stopped by Supreme Court.I understand that bhai, was just mentioning that even such higher reservations won't make any difference since the population demographics for Chattisgarh are different from the national average.

Not sure, but don't think this would pass even the high court (based on past such instances)

Supreme Court already started on wrong foot by rejecting TN govt plea to declare EWS reservation as constitutionally invalid as it includes only poor of general category while excluding poor from reserved categories. This decision was given by a 5 judge bench with 3-2 majority so obviously even among Supreme Court there is quite a division over this matter.

But the case for caste based reservation is quite clear I think, in the past high courts have held that 50% ceiling, let's see in this case. Most probably would be struck down
Yes, please, those who are against Reservations for the Oppressed castes should move out of this country. Bye bye. 💃

So how many were oppressed? Are those oppressed like in mother india film still alive??
Are all obc and st treated badly in all states and regions? Are all general candidates of today or their parents, grandparents have blood on their hands?
Even other countries like Japan has atrocious caste system and they removed it and gave a head start on improvement for the first 10-15 years whereas in India, it's 75+ years and still begging for reservations in colleges to jobs. This is why India will never be developed.
