This one is a bit costlier but worth it as it has latest ryzen 4xxx series processor which gives better battery backup:

Amazon similar options:

https://www.amazon.in/HP-Pavilion-15-ec0026AX-1...

https://www.amazon.in/HP-15-6-inch-Microsoft-Pe...

Drop any model without ‘H’ version processor(intel or amd), drop any dell model as currently no good dell models with ‘H’ version processor(in intel as well as amd).

That acer model has “U” version processor, keep in mind that “U” version processors are power efficient processors meaning they cannot run at their full capacity under heavy load for more than 10-15 min continuously as due to increased temperature & power consumption their inbuilt power saving feature will kick in & slow down/throttle the processor. This is why every gaming laptop comes with “H” version processor(aka non-power efficient/typical desktop processor like) as nobody plays games only for 10-15 min on their gaming laptop.

If you want “H” version processor in acer then look for Nitro or Helios Predator(costlier but also better) models. Here is the extended warranty details for acer:

Extended waranty is a waste. If you’re careful with your gadgets and have not claimed warranty in the past you should be ok.

HP extended warranty will certainly cost you more(I am guessing at least 2-3k). The best sale for laptop will be in Oct & before that the next best thing you can get is 10% axis card off offer on flipkart(taking as example) & combine with axis flipkart 5% to get 7.5% off on a 60k laptop(10% offer is almost always capped to 1500).

I am not suggesting any laptop. But I can maybe point out deficiencies if any if a curated selection is presented. I really dislike laptops. Plus to my knowledge barring one fellow no one has ever followed my suggestion!

Thanks, will surely present you my curation once i get enough inputs, will try my best to be first one to your suggestion followers. Personally i am the only person in my batch who works primarily in desktop. I fried my 1 year in laptop heatings, now enjoying a cpu with 2 external fans in open chases.

As per your workflow, you would need a Dedicated GPU.

Here’s my picks for your budget:

1) Acer Aspire 7 – 5500u
2) Lenovo Y450 – i5 9th Gen
3) Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 – 4600h

I would prefer Ryzen 5 5500u over 4600h in laptops due to thermal limitations.

You can take ITC for GST as well so flat 18% savings. With this in mind you can increase your budget by approx 13 k

See my above posts, there is a reason no true gaming laptop comes with “U” version processor.

True but only for non-gaming laptops, dell gaming laptops are infamous for their poor thermal performance & the reason why almost nobody outside of dell brand followers buy dell gaming laptops.

Acer Aspire 7 is really a good choice but there’s one catch that it has only 1 RAM slot where in 4 GB ram is soldered in motherboard/processor and 4 GB ram stick occupies the only ram slot. So in future if a RAM upgrade is required then one will have to replace existing 4 GB ram.

Moreover max RAM support is limited to 20 GB which is not a deal breaker for many.

Most gaming laptops develop a issue in first 2 years of running as per my experience of reading various online comments & if it can survive that then most likely laptop should run good for another 2 years at least.

I am having acer predator Helios 300 (2018). My laptop is heating a lot even in mild usage like opening 2-3 tabs in chrome. I forgot to take extended warranty for my PC as I did not have any awareness about AMCs. So, now I have to live with the problem as it’s already out of warranty period.

IMO everyone should opt for AMC if you getting it in discounted rates during festive season campaigns. @papa_kancha

Try replacing thermal paste with a good one, I am guessing the stock thermal paste efficiency dropped a lot by the end of 2 years.

Heating is common with laptops more so with gaming laptops. Even your phone gets heated up when playing games.
