Looking for a laptop under 50k. Should be under 1.6kg, 16GB RAM or option to upgrade RAM to 16GB, decent processor.

Usage-: Surfing, multimedia & basic editing. No heavy usage or gaming.

among the one's given here i5 12 is looking good comparing the performance, Ports, Battery. since OLED display is common here anyway, best to compare their size IMO.

BTW none of them are in 50k range na !

Ryzen model was available for 49k after SBI card discount on Amazon. Now both Ryzen & Zenbook are out of stock. I5 12 pro has also increased in price. Wouldn't mind a lesser processor or display for 40-45k.

All oled screen laptops will have avg battery life unless you keep screen brightness low(which is recommended anyways & being oled even their low brightness is equivalent to high brightness IPS screens). Btw asus vivobook S & Pro series have their oled screen pantone certified but normal vivobook series haven't though they all have TUV Rheinland certification for eye care display.

Amazon has still not dispatched the laptop though it has been 14 days since I ordered it. On contacting I was told that they don't even have warehouse ID as warehouse details are not showing.

Seems like they ran out of stock(this model was sold at quite a discount) & waiting for stock delivery from asus. Since you have already paid the cc bill so nothing you can do other than wait. If amazon cancel this order then you would be in a big loss because of such an offer gone.

Offline brand stores of laptops have poor deals last time I checked not to mention poor salesman behaviour too(pandemic shortage made them feel like they are honouring you by selling you a laptop), better look at multi brand stores like reliance digital/croma/vijay etc for laptop brand+card offer.

Though there are some options to further check it but on the surface it seems like a hardware issue & even if it doesn't it still does not look good for a 50k laptop to have such an issue from the beginning itself. Raise a complaint in amazon as reason "defective product" over phone call(don't use chat option or create replacement request by yourself from your amazon acc) but before that just to confirm, download the audio driver from asus website for your model & try to install it. If after installation still same issue or the install process itself gives error & refuse to install then it is confirmed there is hardware issue & you can mention this in phone call to amazon support.
