Have been thinking of buying one for some time. But going through the reviews on amazon made me put a hold on that thought. Hoping a few dimers will share their experience on using one.
avoid buying electric clothing/blanket things
Bijli ka kambal…
Just bought beurer electric blanket costed 6000 (5 year warranty)
Do u get life insurance and mediclaim policy free with it?
Have never seen one.
Shock lagne ka darr hai electric blanket me.
Using Warmland electric ⚡🔌 blanket since past 3 years… Kind of good for winters ❄⛄
Using it more as a bed cover above bedsheet rather than as a blanket (as it feels warm for more time)…
Always used it in awake conditions as there is chances of electric fire or short circuit bcz of sweating… + Use it for as much as small duration as you can… (My thinking electric items (magnetic radiation) are not good for health in long run)…
Sawdhan rahe satark rahe
Or jaagte hue, kambal ka prayog kre
1 sawal blanket ko bizli⚡⚡ kha se milegi plug laaye rkhna padta haii…?
Paisa bachana to ho ya kambal(blanket) 2 kr loo ya kambal me 2 ho jayo ,
2 ho jaane se paisa bachta nahi 22g 5 guna kharch ho jata hai
Aaj pata chala ke Bijli wala blanket bhi hota hai
Electric wire toh touch nhi krta mai, puri ki puri bijli k sath kaise sounga…. 🥺
Electric Blankets come with insulated wires. Moreover, they have auto cut-off feature which is enabled when the temperature reaches threshold. It is not recommended for usage by infants, small kids, and old people due to their soft skin.
4 ya 5 states ke liye hai.
Himachal, uttarakhand , J&K , Arunachal n maybe Sikkim n some parts of West Bengal n maybe some parts of Assam. I am no Geography expert, so anywhere in India where it is 5° C to – ° C.
Other states don’t require one.( Personal opinion n a strong one , winters just last 1.5- 2 months now due to pollution n global warming, can feel the temp soaring high in winters also. So if other state people are buying , then it is ur wish n desire , not ur need.) Quilts with quilt cover that r soft r more than enough. Just buy a woolen cover for ur quilt with zip. Wud cost around 800- 2k.
It also reduces muscle and joint pain so people suffering from arthritis, sciatica, and other chronic pains will be hugely benefited. Also, it helps in body circulation which lets you feel more energized, fit, and relaxed. Besides, it takes care of menstrual pain.
They also give you massage therapy for relaxation and a feel-good mood. They are also well-known for usage by people suffering from sinus, especially in winters and rainy season.
Bought one for mom in UP. in 2018 still working great. To be used as under bed warmer. Also relieves joint pain for older folks. I agree its only for states with severe winter. But even 10-15 degree cold is a trouble for old people
1. All these blankets are bed warmers and meant for placing under you and not over your body like regular blankets. Reason heat travels upwards, and heating element may get damaged if the blanket is folded/ unfolded too frequently.
2. These are not like electric hot bags. The elements are spread over a much larger area than hot bag and they warm up slowly. They dont ‘heat up’ as such and no fear of burning. For the models I used, there are no thermostats fitted inside. The handy controller can regulate or turn off the supplied current.
3. Regardless of the blanket size, the element area size is much smaller. For large blankets 2 elements with 2 plugs and controllers are fitted for use by 2 persons. They wont cover from toe to head for Indian body size. Max you can fit from shoulder to knees area for an adult.
4. These are considerably safe and can be used on a normal 6A electric plug point. I bought 3 in last 5 years for use by 75+ persons and was reported very comfortable for them in chilled winters. All 3 working good till now.
5. All of these are China made and understood element is not repairable atleast locally.
6. These are much more energy efficient as compared to room heaters.
7. If you havent used these earlier, regardless of the photos in the online portals, you will find them odd at first sight. These cannot be used like normal blankets wo power, either these are thin or hard and they dont cover a large area.
Do your homework before you decide to buy.
Room heater lena jada better lag rha hai…
Best is “rui ki rajai” we in Himachal Pradesh use this. They are quite on the heavier side as this is made up and filled with cotton (rui) inside. Very warm , one can take a blanket+rajai during winters. Avoiding electric blanket.
