Looking to get eye checkup from lenskart (100 rs) but want to know if they are any good in terms of service and accuracy.
Have only been to a local optician once in past in 2019 and got my power glasses for just 1200 rs incl frame and lens. lately the glass keeps popping out and the rim has also become loose and hence want to replace them.
Browsing through lenskart, the power glasses are costing me 3600+ GST (999 for frame and 2600 for some BLU lens). Really? I thought I would get it for something under like 2k or less.
Any particular VFM brand( frame and lens) to ask for in the local shops? or any other good website besides lenskart? OR 3600 + GST is bare minimum one has to spend and thats standard rates.
Please share ur experience.

Thats cool. Thx for the info
If you are doubtful about your prescription glasses if they are serving you right, go to a renowned hospital, get your sight and lenses verified, and proceed to a trusted optician.
I got my glasses around 2015-16 and they are still serving me good. My frame is from vision express, and the lenses are from Crizal. The lenses are little costly affair, but is worth it.
I’m now considering to get a spare frame from Titan Eyeplus, lens is likely going to be from Essilor
Thanks for your inputs.
Get lens with UV filter if possible. Go for crizal if you have budget. If less budget, plan cost of lens within 1-2k. if you have to change your lens next year itself because it broke/scratch/power changed, then buying 4-6k crizal is not worth.
thanks buddy. Noted.
A crizal lens cost 4 to 6k now? Good god. I bought my A2 for 1200 back in 2012 2014. Good times.
I recently checked for Essilor, and they quoted 4k
Try synchrony lens… They are budget brand from zeiss
Cant vouch for quality but as they are from zeiss so can expect some standards
@deb3l I understand. Using F word is very unwelcome in an open forum such as DD. But if one looks closely I seldom use that word. This particular occasion begged for its unaltered usage, so I did.
I get that point buddy. And we do hope you have a check on this from time to time so that it won’t pass on to any fellow dimer in the same form.. cuz, we don’t want you there anytime. Just be a little cautious about the usage. Thx again.
Crizal currently running an offer where you get the 2nd lens (same prescription) for 50% off. When I purchased in 2019, I received the 2nd lens free totally. The offer has been tweaked now, but some shops are selling even the single lens for 70% off, you can try bargaining
Wanted to purchase one computer glasses..
Any good deal on this?
I purchased 2 pairs of blue lens(computer glasses) @ 900 from eyemyeye…nd 1 normal at 200 from lenskart.
U can chk for eyemyeye code(phone pe) which gives 1000₹ off (virtually free specs)
Apart from this,i read somewhere, that these blue lens aren’t actually blocking blue lights instead violet light (minor difference). Amber glasses blocks blue light
