Looking for a firm Queen Sized Mattress

Hello Dimers,
I am looking to buy a Queen Size Mattress(72X60 6’). I had ordered Wakefit Orthopedic Memory Foam Mattress and faced lower backpain and hence replaced it with a dual comfort mattress as I need a more firm one. Even the dual comfort wasn’t firm enough and there was no respite. Wakefit doesn’t have any more firm mattress and hence I am returning it.
I have now shortlisted the SleepWell Cocoon looking at the features but there aren’t any reliable reviews. It would be great if someone shares their experience about Cocoon as well as the Sleepwell service for 30 Nights Trial.
Also require more suggestions for firm mattress and need to know your experiences with companies like Sleepwell, Sleepyhead, Duroflex and Kurlon
Wakefit review: Wakefit is a wonderful company providing amazing service. I had bought the Orthopedic Mattress after hearing good reviews from my acquaintances but it didn’t suit me. The 100 nights free trial from Wakefit is indeed amazing as the replacement experience was seamless. I replaced the first mattress at about 45 days and for the dual comfort one and received the differential amount in 24 hrs. I have now raised a return request for Dual comfort today(55 days). Will update about my final experience once the refund is completed.
Thanks

Hi,
Had one experience with the Coir mattress and its deformed in about 3-4 years and hence avoiding coir.
Memory foam or spring?
I had bought the Memory Foam initially and returned it due to back pain. Sleepwell cocoon doesn’t mention anywhere the type of mattress. If anyone knows please help
I had foam mattress which was giving severe back pain. Did lot of online and offline research. Came to conclusion that wakefit and others are simple pieces of foam, and is hit or miss with backpain issue.
Decided to go for tried and tested sleepwell. Had to increase budget, but bought Sleepwell Spinetech offline. 72×35×6 costed 12,750/- per piece, and its such a delight to sleep on those. Also, the backpain is gone.
Try going for bonded foam with PU or memory foam OR PU and Memory foam.
Thanks bro.
I went to a sleepwell offline store and tried the Spine Tech and felt good at that time but it is way out of budget and costing triple than wakefit. Spinetech was 28k for 72X60 while my bed cost 23k
I finally settled for Sleepwell cocoon which costs 15k mainly due to the half firm and half soft feature, but am looking for reviews.
Check locally
You can get it made as per your requirement
And will be 15-20% cheaper
Thanks bro. I have kept this as the final option as the local vendors don’t offer any trial. Once I am done with the trial offering vendors online and nothing works out, would have to go with the local ones.
yes please suggest a good mattress need for parents, for back support and shd last min 5-6 years, i doubt the quality of these foam ones coz we having foam ones and their upper layer is pressed and now only hard layer feels while sleeping
Which one did you buy?
I maybe a bit out of line here, but why does no one recommends the traditional orginal cotton stuffed mattresses ?
Because ghar ki murgi hai wo. Tried and tested, and we ache for modern and different and “classy”.
Traditional cotton-stuffed mattress when done right is the best thing one can have for the spine and everything else.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I have ordered sleepwell cocoon for the following advantages:
1. Hard and Soft: We need hard and soft mattress for the sleepers and hence fits well
2. 30 day return: Offline stores and even the offline sleepwell showrooms don’t offer return and hence ordered online.
If this doesn’t work out, will try spring air memory foam mattress suggested by @Ramta_Jogi .
@Ramta_Jogi Can you also suggest the brand and feedback?
Will keep you guys updated. Thanks
Spring Air is the name of the brand. It’s a 5 inch memory foam with base of 4 inch hard PU foam and 1 inch memory foam. Anything above that 1 inch usually gives backache to a heavy bodied person so depends the type of body you want the mattress for.
Update: Wakefit mattress was picked up in a week and the refund was really quick. Wakefit has commendable customer service and the 90 days free trial is not just a gimmic but a real service. I would surely recommend wakefit for the service and for those who require soft mattress.
Sleepwell: Ordered from mysleepwell website and was promised delivery in 5-7 days. It is already 11 days and the order is not shipped. 3rd class service. Will update on the product once received.
How is the sleepwell mattress? I am thinking of buying from Wakefit. Which is more firm, Orthopaedic or dual comfort?
@keviv So what’s the latest update on sleepwell mattress order??
@keviv Finally which mattress u purchased then and how much it costed? I also need a firm mattress.
If you are ordering from Sleepwell website, avoid. I waited for 15 days and the order wasn’t even shipped. Very poor customer care. If you order from the showrooms(offline), delivery would be quick but you won’t get the 30 or 60 day trail.
It also costs a bomb offline. I saw one Mattress which I found comfortable offline priced at 28k. My double bed queen sized bed cost me 23k and hence ditched the idea of Sleepwell.
Got the bonded foam mattress from local shop for 10k and have been using it for the past month and haven’t faced any issues at all.
Answering your question:
1. How is the sleepwell mattress?
Felt comfortable from the first look but very expensive.
2. I am thinking of buying from Wakefit. Which is more firm, Orthopaedic or dual comfort?
Dual comfort was firmer than Orthapedic but both didn’t have enough firmness. If I compare wakefit’s firmness with my current offline ordered local mattress
Local: 80% firm
Wakefit Dual Comfort: 30% firm
Wakefit Orthopedic: 10% firm
If you need any more assistance purchasing mattress, do ask. I will try to give inputs from my experience.
TIP: If you like soft and bouncy mattress, I would recommend going for wakefit. The 100 night free trial is not just a marketing gimmick but iit actually exists. They have a good customer care and the refunds were very quick. Soft mattress didn’t suit me and hence I couldn’t go with wakefit but I would surely recommend it for someone looking for soft mattress.
Cheers,
Vivek
Final Update:
Sorry I completely forgot updating this thread.
Sleepwell did not ship my order even after waiting for 15 days and the customer care was useless. I straight away cancelled the order. I then checked the offline Sleepwell showroom in our area and found a firm comfortable mattress but it costed 28k. My Queen sized double bed on which I was going to put the mattress costed me 23k. I felt sleepwell is highly inflated and hence eliminated sleepwell offline option as well.
Went to the local store to check the bonded foam mattress. Told him about my backpain issues and he mentioned that they haven’t had a single complaint from any of the mattresses that they have sold and assured me that it would be fine. Ordered the Bonded Foam mattress for 10k and it has been a month since and I haven’t faced any issues yet.
TIPS:
1. Try to make an arrangements with the local shops and ask them if they could maked some adjustments made incase the mattress doesn’t work for you.
2. Bargain atleast 10% of the quoted value
3. Buy a mattress cover
If anyone needs any more assistance purchasing mattress, do ask. I will try to give inputs from my experience.

I felt sleepwell is highly inflated and hence eliminated sleepwell offline option as well.
very true sirg
2. Bargain atleast 10% of the quoted value
their margin is near about 80-100%
3. Buy a mattress cover
why sirg?
1. Margin: It finally depends on your bargaining skills but I started from 20% and 10% was the final discount I could get. I enquired at other local shops and the situation was similar. Try to visit multiple shops and get their final price.
2. Mattress cover: Similar to buying phone cover. Saves your mattress from any external damage.
you bought a local one then paji?
I’m a bit on the heavier side but never faced backpain until I started working from home. My lower back started hurting badly to thd point were I could not even drive my car for more than 30 mins.It all came down to my poor posture while working from home . During lockdown days there was no option to buy a ergonomic chairs and tables so has to adjust with what was available. It took a couple of months for the pain to heal after I started doing exercises for the back. So what I’m trying to say is , mattresses may not be the likely cause of your back pain. You may need to work on your back .
That looks like a good explation bro and should be considered.
But I don’t think WFH caused the issue in my case atleast as I was working for home for more than a year before buying the mattress and never faced the issue. The back pain was felt only while sleeping on the soft mattresses.
Coir mattress
