Prices are 1.5x to 3x inflated in Bangalore. If your budget permits, go to Hubli or Kumta for the best prices, as these are manufactured there

My budget does permit, but it's the time that i don't have. But I'll give a try.

Do you have any specific contact or i can just randomly go and check?

@jitz -- Can you share the size and price of brass idol you checked at bvk Iyengar road? Just want to compare it with what's available in Pune and online.

Just for a small 5 inch diya with lakshmi on it was 1000 rs. Its not more than 500gm.

Normal idols (8 to 10 inch, approx 2 kg, 4000+ ) or diya (hanging, approx. 750-1kg gm, 2500 rs) which were about 10 inch height were always 8k or above.

Look at the simplicity of our religion. There is no one rule. If you want to keep it bare minimum and simple? No issues. If you want to add little extra? Go for it.

My personal logic, 'Karma' is THE real thing, 'bhakti' is for gaining more 'shakti' so we could perform 'karma' no matter what. 'Bhavana' has no strings attached.
