Looks like ISRO Chairman read our Desidime conversation
Looks like ISRO Chairman read our last Desidime's conversations:
Last time we talk about ISRO's PSLV and GSLV is outdated, its 1960s technology. ISRO must build a new rocket with Methane and Liquid oxygen. Also need to invite private players etc - https://www.desidime.com/discussions/isro-sslv-...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just 2 days ago, ISRO announced Next-Generation Launch Vehicle (NGLV rocket)
PSLV and GSLV (with the exception of GSLV MKIII) rockets are 1970s technology and are meant to be retired someday, said ISRO CEO.
Depictions of the prospective technical specifications of the NGLV indicated that it could carry up to 10 tonnes of payload to Geostationary Transfer Orbit (payload 2.5 times higher than India's current heaviest launcher GSLV MKIII). It was also revealed that this could be a three-stage launch vehicle that is powered by Green fuel combinations such as Methane and Liquid oxygen or Kerosene and Liquid oxygen.
New rocket will be on Public Private partnership model.
But do you guys think that ISRO will be able to make this new rocket by the end of this decade ? I know most of you will answer yes but seriously ISRO jis speed se kam karta ha. Almost impossible hai. By the way one more new American Private space company successfully launched their new rocket in space and this new company also started just 5 years ago.

ISRO much like our ghaas-phoos PM is more talk than results.

Even China also

ISRO is already overfunded. $1 billion a year is enough to build a best rocket and ISRO get every year approx 2 Billion dollar.
Also space agency doesn't need funding, I mean initially they need funding but in future space agency make enough profit by launching satellite into orbit.
Main problem is that normal people dnt know anything about rocket engine that's why ISRO make us fool.
SpaceX now launch falcon 9 rocket almost every week, other 6-7 private american private companies also launch atleast 1 rocket in every 1 or 2 months.
5 years old, a new space company "Firefly Aerospace" already successfully launch their new rocket into orbit (this rocket is also 1000 times better than our ISRO's PSLV).
Do you know how much funding "Firefly Aerospace" get ? Firefly Aerospace has raised a total of $271.6M in funding over 8 rounds - https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/firefly...
Firefly Aerospace is just an one example. I will post someday how many new space companies have come and already successfully launch their new rockets into the orbit + how much funding they raise + i will also compare with our ISRO's 1970's rocket + How much do these new companies earn from launching satellites into orbit.

True, fund to conduct experiments, do through accountability, then only we get results.
US/NASA developed the rockets and handed the basic blueprints to corporate players, now their corporate players are improving and helping the US reach new heights.
Partnership with private company may not yield the result as the major partner itself doesn't have the blueprints.
Only have the designs ready, partner with private companies and start experiments.
Also we don't have an enthusiastic corporate leader like Musk/Bezos who is willing to fund these projects.
Expected more from the 1st generation Indian entrepreneurs like Flipkart/ola etc company owners to start something revolutionary with the money they got, but one guy start a lending company by selling Flipkart, the most successful startup of India.
Note: doesn't want to hurt anyone with the above post, just my thoughts.

NASA's all rocket and technology is open source, easily available on internet.
NASA never share any blueprint with any private companies because NASA's rocket are 1960's era and opening available.
NASA and ISRO both are same. NASA developing a new rocket called "SLS" since 2011 but same like ISRO. NASA is failing to build this new rocket, do you know why ? because NASA is over funded and govt agency.
Americans are making fun of NASA, they told "SLS" is Senate Launch System (actual name is Space Launch System). 😂😂
The reason for the joke is that NASA is fooling the Senate and the US government is fooling it too. The technology and rocket engine used on this SLS system is 1980s-1990s technology that's why NASA is not able to make this rocket yet and every year NASA ask more funds from US govt.
What's even more funny is that this SLS rocket is standing on the launch pad of NASA from last 2 years. Everytime NASA found some fault and launch will postponed for next few months. Now all rocket manufacturer told, we do not give guarantee that this rocket will launch successfully because our product date has already expired. 😂😂

Dude why do you put everything in bold? Do you think only then people will notice your post? It's such a strange thing to see, never seen anyone else do that on any forum. Occasional lines or words I've seen being Bolded to emphasize something, but never seen someone use bold as much as you do. Your every single post is fully in bold and it hurts my eyes trying to read it. I genuinely feel sorry for your GF/Wife because I'm sure you will text her in all bold format only. Poor thing must be getting headaches daily reading your Bolded essays.
Aise openly post mat karo. Aapko brilliant scientist samajh ke Pakistan yaa Afghanistan waale kidnap kar lenge aur kursi se baandh ke poochenge - Rocket ka blueprint kidhar hai 😀😀

I write in bold because people should know some important things -
1) Making a new rocket doesn't need Billions of dollar funding. This thing already prove by many new American Aerospace companies (their rockets are also 1000 times better than ISRO's PSLV). One more thing, 3 to 5 years is enough to make a new rocket. Ofcourse you will not get success on first or 2nd launch but after a launch failure you will build a new rocket and launch it next month (Small Amrican Private space companies have already proved this point those who got just few million dollar funding).
2) Im not only accusing ISRO. NASA is also same. You will be shocked to know that NASA does not know how to make rockets and space suits (Yes, I am talking about the same NASA that successfully landed humans on the moon). NASA waste $2 billion dollar to making a new space suits but NASA haven't even started making space suit (NASA's new SLS rocket details i already shared in my above comment) when US govt officials investigate on this matter they found NASA dnt know how to make rockets and space suits. They official told this thing on US congress.
3) Do you know why ISRO and NASA dnt know how to make new rockets or i can say how NASA and ISRO have forgotten to make rockets ? Reason is that the scientist who made the Apollo rocket or ISRO's PSLV / GSLV has retired or is no more in this world.
4) No one knows how to make rockets in ISRO and NASA as of now.
5) Indians are proud of ISRO's past achievements, no doubt i am also proud of it but now every thing is changed. The global space economy stands at $450 billion. Every year i heard a new ameircan private space companies launch a new rocket without help of NASA or anyone. These rockets are 1000 times better than ISRO's rockets and also low cost.
6) We need a reform in ISRO and dnt blame govt because govt dnt know anything. Like us, govt also thing making a new rocket takes 2-3 decades and expensive.
7) last thing, do you know our Navic GPS system still not fully ready ? reaon is - ISRO. DRDO openly blame ISRO, because of ISRO our Navic GPS system still not ready. DRDO on record told It would be better if we (DRDO) build our own rocket and launch a navic satellite.

You don't need a PhD degree to know how a rocket is made. Ofcourse you can't make a rocket but all you need to know about the economy.
When other space agency make a rocket cheaper and 1000 times better than ISRO's rocket, You will understand that our present generation ISRO scientists are making fool.
Simple way to understand - If you have a good understanding of the economy and you know how a rocket is made. when ISRO scientic made a new rocket engine, your first question will be how much did it cost to make it ?
They will answer 1$ billion, you will say very good, im impressed and then you will throw the rocket engine in the dustbin in front of all ISRO scientist team and you will say go and make it cheaper. After few months they will made another rocket engine at $500 million, you will again do the same thing. After few round or i can say after one or 2 year, ISRO scientist will make a new rocket engine at just $100,000 or more cheaper.
Now think about it, what will happen if you make a scientist the CEO of ISRO ? He will approved the 1$ billion engine for new rocket.
And yes, If someone will get Bharat Ratna for this then ISRO scientics will get. you will not get Bharat Ratna but ISRO CEO only needs to know about economy and how rockets are made.
I hope you heard a story about Steve Jobs -
When engineers working on the very first iPod completed the prototype, they presented their work to Steve Jobs for his approval. Jobs played with the device, scrutinized it, weighed it in his hands, and promptly rejected it. It was too big.
The engineers explained that they had to reinvent inventing to create the iPod, and that it was simply impossible to make it any smaller. Jobs was quiet for a moment. Finally he stood, walked over to an aquarium, and dropped the iPod in the tank. After it touched bottom, bubbles floated to the top.
"Those are air bubbles," he snapped. "That means there's space in there. Make it smaller."
Elon musk also not have a Phd degree in rocket Science but his company SpaceX build a world's cheapest and best rocket and rocket engine in the world, Elon Musk/SpaceX had less budget than ISRO, NASA also did not help SpaceX in the beginning.
Last thing, i share this things because when Americans will start mocking NASA and US govt agencies, how NASA fools them. Gradually every American will start to understand and this matter reached the US govt, and the US government did a special investigation for NASA and they found NASA dnt know how to make a rocket, rocket engine and space suit, NASA is just fooling us.
ISRO also have a same case. You guys dnt need a PhD degree or any kind of a degree. You guys should need to know about the economy, also start learning about other US private space companies. You yourself will know how ISRO is fooling us.
abhishek012 wrote:I get it. You are very passionate about this. But reading some articles online or hearing some news do not give all the right information. News media twist the information. Even before that, the people who "give information" also twist it to suit them. The ground reality is completely different. A govt agency should never be compared to a startup. While I completely agree to your point that these govt agencies should do better, they have to survive at any cost and their main agenda is research and not profit. These startups are there to make quick bucks. They burn out their engineers. Of course they pay huge money as well. At least in India, how many startups are there you think are there to create world class products/services and how many are there to simply sell some day and earn. You don't need a PhD degree to know how a rocket is made. Any govt agency would have a lot of red tape and specially when people who do not understand the basic science become management, it becomes nightmare as everything is about cost then. The struggle is real. I am in software and experience first hand the difference between a manager who knows what the product is (has been a developer himself for many years) vs a manager who never developed and just talk money. Thing is, understanding what is actually happening is almost impossible unless you are there yourself. Guessing and blaming does not help anyone.
